يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe لَا (Do) not تَتَّخِذُوا۟ take عَدُوِّى My enemies وَعَدُوَّكُمْ and your enemies أَوْلِيَآءَ (as) allies تُلْقُونَ offering إِلَيْهِم them بِٱلْمَوَدَّةِ love وَقَدْ while كَفَرُوا۟ they have disbelieved بِمَا in what جَآءَكُم came to you مِّنَ of ٱلْحَقِّ the truth يُخْرِجُونَ driving out ٱلرَّسُولَ the Messenger وَإِيَّاكُمْ and yourselves ۙ   أَن because تُؤْمِنُوا۟ you believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah رَبِّكُمْ your Lord إِن If كُنتُمْ you خَرَجْتُمْ come forth جِهَـٰدًا (to) strive فِى in سَبِيلِى My way وَٱبْتِغَآءَ and (to) seek مَرْضَاتِى My Pleasure ۚ   تُسِرُّونَ You confide إِلَيْهِم to them بِٱلْمَوَدَّةِ love وَأَنَا۠ but I Am أَعْلَمُ most knowing بِمَآ of what أَخْفَيْتُمْ you conceal وَمَآ and what أَعْلَنتُمْ you declare ۚ   وَمَن And whoever يَفْعَلْهُ does it مِنكُمْ among you فَقَدْ then certainly ضَلَّ he has strayed سَوَآءَ (from the) straight ٱلسَّبِيلِ path

إِن If يَثْقَفُوكُمْ they gain dominance over you يَكُونُوا۟ they would be لَكُمْ to you أَعْدَآءً enemies وَيَبْسُطُوٓا۟ and extend إِلَيْكُمْ against you أَيْدِيَهُمْ their hands وَأَلْسِنَتَهُم and their tongues بِٱلسُّوٓءِ with evil وَوَدُّوا۟ and they desire لَوْ that تَكْفُرُونَ you would disbelieve

لَن Never تَنفَعَكُمْ will benefit you أَرْحَامُكُمْ your relatives وَلَآ and not أَوْلَـٰدُكُمْ your children ۚ   يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection يَفْصِلُ He will judge بَيْنَكُمْ between you ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do بَصِيرٌ (is) All-Seer

قَدْ Indeed كَانَتْ (there) is لَكُمْ for you أُسْوَةٌ an example حَسَنَةٌ good فِىٓ in إِبْرَٰهِيمَ Ibrahim وَٱلَّذِينَ and those مَعَهُۥٓ with him إِذْ when قَالُوا۟ they said لِقَوْمِهِمْ to their people إِنَّا Indeed, we بُرَءَٰٓؤُا۟ (are) disassociated مِنكُمْ from you وَمِمَّا and from what تَعْبُدُونَ you worship مِن from دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah كَفَرْنَا We have denied بِكُمْ you وَبَدَا and has appeared بَيْنَنَا between us وَبَيْنَكُمُ and between you ٱلْعَدَٰوَةُ enmity وَٱلْبَغْضَآءُ and hatred أَبَدًا forever حَتَّىٰ until تُؤْمِنُوا۟ you believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَحْدَهُۥٓ Alone إِلَّا Except قَوْلَ (the) saying إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim لِأَبِيهِ to his father لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ Surely I ask forgiveness لَكَ for you وَمَآ but not أَمْلِكُ I have power لَكَ for you مِنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah مِن of شَىْءٍ anything ۖ   رَّبَّنَا Our Lord عَلَيْكَ upon You تَوَكَّلْنَا we put our trust وَإِلَيْكَ and to You أَنَبْنَا we turn وَإِلَيْكَ and to You ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return

رَبَّنَا Our Lord لَا (do) not تَجْعَلْنَا make us فِتْنَةً a trial لِّلَّذِينَ for those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve وَٱغْفِرْ and forgive لَنَا us رَبَّنَآ our Lord ۖ   إِنَّكَ Indeed You أَنتَ [You] ٱلْعَزِيزُ (are) the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise

لَقَدْ Certainly كَانَ (there) is لَكُمْ for you فِيهِمْ in them أُسْوَةٌ an example حَسَنَةٌ good لِّمَن for (he) who كَانَ is يَرْجُوا۟ hopeful ٱللَّهَ (in) Allah وَٱلْيَوْمَ and the Day ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ the Last ۚ   وَمَن And whoever يَتَوَلَّ turns away فَإِنَّ then indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah هُوَ He ٱلْغَنِىُّ (is) Free of need ٱلْحَمِيدُ the Praiseworthy

عَسَى Perhaps ٱللَّهُ Allah أَن [that] يَجْعَلَ will put بَيْنَكُمْ between you وَبَيْنَ and between ٱلَّذِينَ those (to) whom عَادَيْتُم you have been enemies مِّنْهُم among them مَّوَدَّةً love ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah قَدِيرٌ (is) All-Powerful ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful

لَّا Not يَنْهَىٰكُمُ (does) forbid you ٱللَّهُ Allah عَنِ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَمْ (do) not يُقَـٰتِلُوكُمْ fight you فِى in ٱلدِّينِ the religion وَلَمْ and (do) not يُخْرِجُوكُم drive you out مِّن of دِيَـٰرِكُمْ your homes أَن that تَبَرُّوهُمْ you deal kindly وَتُقْسِطُوٓا۟ and deal justly إِلَيْهِمْ with them ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah يُحِبُّ loves ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ those who act justly

إِنَّمَا Only يَنْهَىٰكُمُ forbids you ٱللَّهُ Allah عَنِ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَـٰتَلُوكُمْ fight you فِى in ٱلدِّينِ the religion وَأَخْرَجُوكُم and drive you out مِّن of دِيَـٰرِكُمْ your homes وَظَـٰهَرُوا۟ and support عَلَىٰٓ in إِخْرَاجِكُمْ your expulsion أَن that تَوَلَّوْهُمْ you make them allies ۚ   وَمَن And whoever يَتَوَلَّهُمْ makes them allies فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ (are) the wrongdoers

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believe إِذَا When جَآءَكُمُ come to you ٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتُ the believing women مُهَـٰجِرَٰتٍ (as) emigrants فَٱمْتَحِنُوهُنَّ then examine them ۖ   ٱللَّهُ Allah أَعْلَمُ (is) most knowing بِإِيمَـٰنِهِنَّ of their faith ۖ   فَإِنْ And if عَلِمْتُمُوهُنَّ you know them مُؤْمِنَـٰتٍ (to be) believers فَلَا then (do) not تَرْجِعُوهُنَّ return them إِلَى to ٱلْكُفَّارِ the disbelievers ۖ   لَا Not هُنَّ they حِلٌّ (are) lawful لَّهُمْ for them وَلَا and not هُمْ they يَحِلُّونَ are lawful لَهُنَّ for them ۖ   وَءَاتُوهُم But give them مَّآ what أَنفَقُوا۟ they have spent ۚ   وَلَا And not جُنَاحَ any blame عَلَيْكُمْ upon you أَن if تَنكِحُوهُنَّ you marry them إِذَآ when ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ you have given them أُجُورَهُنَّ their (bridal) dues ۚ   وَلَا And (do) not تُمْسِكُوا۟ hold بِعِصَمِ to marriage bonds ٱلْكَوَافِرِ (with) disbelieving women وَسْـَٔلُوا۟ but ask (for) مَآ what أَنفَقْتُمْ you have spent وَلْيَسْـَٔلُوا۟ and let them ask مَآ what أَنفَقُوا۟ they have spent ۚ   ذَٰلِكُمْ That حُكْمُ (is the) Judgment ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ۖ   يَحْكُمُ He judges بَيْنَكُمْ between you ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knowing حَكِيمٌ All-Wise

وَإِن And if فَاتَكُمْ have gone from you شَىْءٌ any مِّنْ of أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ your wives إِلَى to ٱلْكُفَّارِ the disbelievers فَعَاقَبْتُمْ then your turn comes فَـَٔاتُوا۟ then give ٱلَّذِينَ (to) those who ذَهَبَتْ have gone أَزْوَٰجُهُم their wives مِّثْلَ (the) like مَآ (of) what أَنفَقُوا۟ they had spent ۚ   وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah ٱلَّذِىٓ (in) Whom أَنتُم you بِهِۦ [in Him] مُؤْمِنُونَ (are) believers

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّبِىُّ Prophet إِذَا When جَآءَكَ come to you ٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتُ the believing women يُبَايِعْنَكَ pledging to you عَلَىٰٓ [on] أَن that لَّا not يُشْرِكْنَ they will associate بِٱللَّهِ with Allah شَيْـًٔا anything وَلَا and not يَسْرِقْنَ they will steal وَلَا and not يَزْنِينَ they will commit adultery وَلَا and not يَقْتُلْنَ they will kill أَوْلَـٰدَهُنَّ their children وَلَا and not يَأْتِينَ they bring بِبُهْتَـٰنٍ slander يَفْتَرِينَهُۥ they invent it بَيْنَ between أَيْدِيهِنَّ their hands وَأَرْجُلِهِنَّ and their feet وَلَا and not يَعْصِينَكَ they will disobey you فِى in مَعْرُوفٍ (the) right ۙ   فَبَايِعْهُنَّ then accept their pledge وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ and ask forgiveness لَهُنَّ for them ٱللَّهَ (from) Allah ۖ   إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe لَا (Do) not تَتَوَلَّوْا۟ make allies قَوْمًا (of) a people غَضِبَ (The) wrath ٱللَّهُ (of) Allah عَلَيْهِمْ (is) upon them قَدْ Indeed يَئِسُوا۟ they despair مِنَ of ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ the Hereafter كَمَا as يَئِسَ despair ٱلْكُفَّارُ the disbelievers مِنْ of أَصْحَـٰبِ (the) companions ٱلْقُبُورِ (of) the graves
