الٓمٓ Alif Lam Meem

غُلِبَتِ Have been defeated ٱلرُّومُ the Romans

فِىٓ In أَدْنَى (the) nearest ٱلْأَرْضِ land وَهُم But they مِّنۢ after بَعْدِ after غَلَبِهِمْ their defeat سَيَغْلِبُونَ will overcome

فِى Within بِضْعِ a few سِنِينَ years ۗ   لِلَّهِ For Allah ٱلْأَمْرُ (is) the command مِن before قَبْلُ before وَمِنۢ and after بَعْدُ and after ۚ   وَيَوْمَئِذٍ And that day يَفْرَحُ will rejoice ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers

بِنَصْرِ With (the) help ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ۚ   يَنصُرُ He helps مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills ۖ   وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful

وَعْدَ (It is the) Promise ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ۖ   لَا (Does) not يُخْلِفُ fail ٱللَّهُ Allah وَعْدَهُۥ (in) His promise وَلَـٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَ most (of) ٱلنَّاسِ [the] people لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know

يَعْلَمُونَ They know ظَـٰهِرًا (the) apparent مِّنَ of ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world وَهُمْ but they عَنِ about ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ the Hereafter هُمْ [they] غَـٰفِلُونَ (are) heedless

أَوَلَمْ Do not يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ they ponder فِىٓ within أَنفُسِهِم themselves ۗ   مَّا Not خَلَقَ Allah (has) created ٱللَّهُ Allah (has) created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and what بَيْنَهُمَآ (is) between them إِلَّا except بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth وَأَجَلٍ and (for) a term مُّسَمًّى appointed ۗ   وَإِنَّ And indeed كَثِيرًا many مِّنَ of ٱلنَّاسِ the people بِلِقَآئِ in (the) meeting رَبِّهِمْ (with) their Lord لَكَـٰفِرُونَ surely (are) disbelievers

أَوَلَمْ Have not يَسِيرُوا۟ they traveled فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَيَنظُرُوا۟ and observed كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those مِن before them قَبْلِهِمْ before them ۚ   كَانُوٓا۟ They were أَشَدَّ mightier مِنْهُمْ than them قُوَّةً (in) strength وَأَثَارُوا۟ and they dug ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth وَعَمَرُوهَآ and built (on) it أَكْثَرَ more مِمَّا than what عَمَرُوهَا they have built (on) it وَجَآءَتْهُمْ And came (to) them رُسُلُهُم their Messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear proofs ۖ   فَمَا So not كَانَ was ٱللَّهُ Allah لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ to wrong them وَلَـٰكِن but كَانُوٓا۟ they were أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves يَظْلِمُونَ (doing) wrong

ثُمَّ Then كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةَ (the) end ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who أَسَـٰٓـُٔوا۟ did evil ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ the evil أَن because كَذَّبُوا۟ they denied بِـَٔايَـٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَكَانُوا۟ and were بِهَا of them يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ making mockery

ٱللَّهُ Allah يَبْدَؤُا۟ originates ٱلْخَلْقَ the creation ثُمَّ then يُعِيدُهُۥ He repeats it ثُمَّ then إِلَيْهِ to Him تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day تَقُومُ will (be) established ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour يُبْلِسُ will (be in) despair ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ the criminals

وَلَمْ And not يَكُن will be لَّهُم for them مِّن among شُرَكَآئِهِمْ theirs partners شُفَعَـٰٓؤُا۟ any intercessors وَكَانُوا۟ and they will be بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ in their partners كَـٰفِرِينَ disbelievers

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day تَقُومُ will (be) established ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day يَتَفَرَّقُونَ they will become separated

فَأَمَّا Then as for ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed وَعَمِلُوا۟ and did ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds فَهُمْ so they فِى in رَوْضَةٍ a Garden يُحْبَرُونَ will be delighted

وَأَمَّا But as for ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and denied بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا Our Signs وَلِقَآئِ and (the) meeting ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those فِى in ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment مُحْضَرُونَ (will be) brought forth

فَسُبْحَـٰنَ So glory be to ٱللَّهِ Allah حِينَ when تُمْسُونَ you reach the evening وَحِينَ and when تُصْبِحُونَ you reach the morning

وَلَهُ And for Him ٱلْحَمْدُ (are) all praises فِى in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَعَشِيًّا and (at) night وَحِينَ and when تُظْهِرُونَ you are at noon

يُخْرِجُ He brings forth ٱلْحَىَّ the living مِنَ from ٱلْمَيِّتِ the dead وَيُخْرِجُ and He brings forth ٱلْمَيِّتَ the dead مِنَ from ٱلْحَىِّ the living وَيُحْىِ and He gives life ٱلْأَرْضَ (to) the earth بَعْدَ after مَوْتِهَا its death ۚ   وَكَذَٰلِكَ and thus تُخْرَجُونَ you will be brought forth

وَمِنْ And among ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ His Signs أَنْ (is) that خَلَقَكُم He created you مِّن from تُرَابٍ dust ثُمَّ then إِذَآ behold أَنتُم You بَشَرٌ (are) human beings تَنتَشِرُونَ dispersing

وَمِنْ And among ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ His Signs أَنْ (is) that خَلَقَ He created لَكُم for you مِّنْ from أَنفُسِكُمْ yourselves أَزْوَٰجًا mates لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ that you may find tranquility إِلَيْهَا in them وَجَعَلَ and He placed بَيْنَكُم between you مَّوَدَّةً love وَرَحْمَةً and mercy ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يَتَفَكَّرُونَ who reflect

وَمِنْ And among ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ His Signs خَلْقُ (is the) creation ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَٱخْتِلَـٰفُ and the diversity أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ (of) your languages وَأَلْوَٰنِكُمْ and your colors ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّلْعَـٰلِمِينَ for those of knowledge

وَمِنْ And among ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ His Signs مَنَامُكُم (is) your sleep بِٱلَّيْلِ by night وَٱلنَّهَارِ and the day وَٱبْتِغَآؤُكُم [and] your seeking مِّن of فَضْلِهِۦٓ His Bounty ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يَسْمَعُونَ who listen

وَمِنْ And among ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ His Signs يُرِيكُمُ He shows you ٱلْبَرْقَ the lightning خَوْفًا (causing) fear وَطَمَعًا and hope وَيُنَزِّلُ and He sends down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water فَيُحْىِۦ and gives life بِهِ therewith ٱلْأَرْضَ (to) the earth بَعْدَ after مَوْتِهَآ its death ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يَعْقِلُونَ who use intellect

وَمِنْ And among ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ His Signs أَن (is) that تَقُومَ stands ٱلسَّمَآءُ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضُ and the earth بِأَمْرِهِۦ by His Command ۚ   ثُمَّ Then إِذَا when دَعَاكُمْ He calls you دَعْوَةً (with) a call مِّنَ from ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth إِذَآ behold أَنتُمْ You تَخْرُجُونَ will come forth

وَلَهُۥ And to Him (belongs) مَن whoever فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۖ   كُلٌّ All لَّهُۥ to Him قَـٰنِتُونَ (are) obedient

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يَبْدَؤُا۟ originates ٱلْخَلْقَ the creation ثُمَّ then يُعِيدُهُۥ repeats it وَهُوَ and it أَهْوَنُ (is) easier عَلَيْهِ for Him ۚ   وَلَهُ And for Him ٱلْمَثَلُ (is) the description ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ the highest فِى in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۚ   وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise

ضَرَبَ He sets forth لَكُم to you مَّثَلًا an example مِّنْ from أَنفُسِكُمْ yourselves ۖ   هَل Is لَّكُم for you مِّن among مَّا what مَلَكَتْ possess أَيْمَـٰنُكُم your right hands مِّن any شُرَكَآءَ partners فِى in مَا what رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ We have provided you فَأَنتُمْ so you فِيهِ in it سَوَآءٌ (are) equal تَخَافُونَهُمْ you fear them كَخِيفَتِكُمْ as you fear أَنفُسَكُمْ yourselves ۚ   كَذَٰلِكَ Thus نُفَصِّلُ We explain ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ the Verses لِقَوْمٍ for a people يَعْقِلُونَ (who) use reason

بَلِ Nay ٱتَّبَعَ follow ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوٓا۟ do wrong أَهْوَآءَهُم their desires بِغَيْرِ without عِلْمٍ knowledge ۖ   فَمَن Then who يَهْدِى (can) guide مَنْ (one) whom أَضَلَّ Allah has let go astray ٱللَّهُ Allah has let go astray ۖ   وَمَا And not لَهُم for them مِّن any نَّـٰصِرِينَ helpers

فَأَقِمْ So set وَجْهَكَ your face لِلدِّينِ to the religion حَنِيفًا upright ۚ   فِطْرَتَ Nature ٱللَّهِ (made by) Allah ٱلَّتِى (upon) which فَطَرَ He has created ٱلنَّاسَ mankind عَلَيْهَا [on it] ۚ   لَا No تَبْدِيلَ change لِخَلْقِ (should there be) in the creation ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ۚ   ذَٰلِكَ That ٱلدِّينُ (is) the religion ٱلْقَيِّمُ the correct وَلَـٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَ most ٱلنَّاسِ men لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know

مُنِيبِينَ Turning إِلَيْهِ to Him وَٱتَّقُوهُ and fear Him وَأَقِيمُوا۟ and establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَلَا and (do) not تَكُونُوا۟ be مِنَ of ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists

مِنَ Of ٱلَّذِينَ those who فَرَّقُوا۟ divide دِينَهُمْ their religion وَكَانُوا۟ and become شِيَعًا sects ۖ   كُلُّ each حِزْبٍۭ party بِمَا in what لَدَيْهِمْ they have فَرِحُونَ rejoicing

وَإِذَا And when مَسَّ touches ٱلنَّاسَ people ضُرٌّ hardship دَعَوْا۟ they call رَبَّهُم their Lord مُّنِيبِينَ turning إِلَيْهِ to Him ثُمَّ Then إِذَآ when أَذَاقَهُم He causes them to taste مِّنْهُ from Him رَحْمَةً Mercy إِذَا behold فَرِيقٌ A party مِّنْهُم of them بِرَبِّهِمْ with their Lord يُشْرِكُونَ associate partners

لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ So as to deny بِمَآ [in] what ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ We have granted them ۚ   فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ Then enjoy فَسَوْفَ but soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know

أَمْ Or أَنزَلْنَا have We sent عَلَيْهِمْ to them سُلْطَـٰنًا an authority فَهُوَ and it يَتَكَلَّمُ speaks بِمَا of what كَانُوا۟ they were بِهِۦ with Him يُشْرِكُونَ associating

وَإِذَآ And when أَذَقْنَا We cause people to taste ٱلنَّاسَ We cause people to taste رَحْمَةً mercy فَرِحُوا۟ they rejoice بِهَا therein ۖ   وَإِن But if تُصِبْهُمْ afflicts them سَيِّئَةٌۢ an evil بِمَا for what قَدَّمَتْ have sent forth أَيْدِيهِمْ their hands إِذَا behold هُمْ They يَقْنَطُونَ despair

أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah يَبْسُطُ extends ٱلرِّزْقَ the provision لِمَن for whom يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَقْدِرُ and straitens (it) ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يُؤْمِنُونَ who believe

فَـَٔاتِ So give ذَا the relative ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ the relative حَقَّهُۥ his right وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ and the poor وَٱبْنَ and the wayfarer ٱلسَّبِيلِ and the wayfarer ۚ   ذَٰلِكَ That خَيْرٌ (is) best لِّلَّذِينَ for those who يُرِيدُونَ desire وَجْهَ (the) Countenance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ۖ   وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ And those هُمُ they ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ (are) the successful ones

وَمَآ And what ءَاتَيْتُم you give مِّن for رِّبًا usury لِّيَرْبُوَا۟ to increase فِىٓ in أَمْوَٰلِ (the) wealth ٱلنَّاسِ (of) people فَلَا not يَرْبُوا۟ (will) increase عِندَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ۖ   وَمَآ But what ءَاتَيْتُم you give مِّن of زَكَوٰةٍ zakah تُرِيدُونَ desiring وَجْهَ (the) Countenance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلْمُضْعِفُونَ (will) get manifold

ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَكُمْ created you ثُمَّ then رَزَقَكُمْ He provided (for) you ثُمَّ then يُمِيتُكُمْ He will cause you to die ثُمَّ then يُحْيِيكُمْ He will give you life ۖ   هَلْ Is (there) مِن any شُرَكَآئِكُم (of) your partners مَّن who يَفْعَلُ does مِن of ذَٰلِكُم that مِّن any شَىْءٍ thing ۚ   سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ Glory be to Him وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ and exalted is He عَمَّا above what يُشْرِكُونَ they associate

ظَهَرَ Has appeared ٱلْفَسَادُ the corruption فِى in ٱلْبَرِّ the land وَٱلْبَحْرِ and the sea بِمَا for what كَسَبَتْ have earned أَيْدِى (the) hands ٱلنَّاسِ (of) people لِيُذِيقَهُم so that He may let them taste بَعْضَ a part ٱلَّذِى (of) that which عَمِلُوا۟ they have done لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return

قُلْ Say سِيرُوا۟ Travel فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَٱنظُرُوا۟ and see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who مِن (were) before قَبْلُ (were) before ۚ   كَانَ Most of them were أَكْثَرُهُم Most of them were مُّشْرِكِينَ polytheists

فَأَقِمْ So set وَجْهَكَ your face لِلدِّينِ to the religion ٱلْقَيِّمِ right مِن before قَبْلِ before أَن [that] يَأْتِىَ comes يَوْمٌ a Day لَّا not مَرَدَّ (can be) averted لَهُۥ [it] مِنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah ۖ   يَوْمَئِذٍ That Day يَصَّدَّعُونَ they will be divided

مَن Whoever كَفَرَ disbelieves فَعَلَيْهِ then against him كُفْرُهُۥ (is) his disbelief ۖ   وَمَنْ And whoever عَمِلَ does صَـٰلِحًا righteousness فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ then for themselves يَمْهَدُونَ they are preparing

لِيَجْزِىَ That He may reward ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds مِن (out) of فَضْلِهِۦٓ His Bounty ۚ   إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He لَا (does) not يُحِبُّ like ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers

وَمِنْ And among ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ His Signs أَن (is) that يُرْسِلَ He sends ٱلرِّيَاحَ the winds مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ (as) bearers of glad tidings وَلِيُذِيقَكُم and to let you taste مِّن of رَّحْمَتِهِۦ His Mercy وَلِتَجْرِىَ and that may sail ٱلْفُلْكُ the ships بِأَمْرِهِۦ at His Command وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ and that you may seek مِن of فَضْلِهِۦ His Bounty وَلَعَلَّكُمْ and that you may تَشْكُرُونَ be grateful

وَلَقَدْ And verily أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مِن before you قَبْلِكَ before you رُسُلًا Messengers إِلَىٰ to قَوْمِهِمْ their people فَجَآءُوهُم and they came to them بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear proofs فَٱنتَقَمْنَا then We took retribution مِنَ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who أَجْرَمُوا۟ committed crimes ۖ   وَكَانَ And it was حَقًّا incumbent عَلَيْنَا upon Us نَصْرُ (to) help ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers

ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يُرْسِلُ sends ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ the winds فَتُثِيرُ so they raise سَحَابًا (the) clouds فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ then He spreads them فِى in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky كَيْفَ how يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ and He makes them كِسَفًا fragments فَتَرَى so you see ٱلْوَدْقَ the rain يَخْرُجُ coming forth مِنْ from خِلَـٰلِهِۦ their midst ۖ   فَإِذَآ Then when أَصَابَ He causes it to fall on بِهِۦ He causes it to fall on مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills مِنْ of عِبَادِهِۦٓ His slaves إِذَا behold هُمْ They يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ rejoice

وَإِن And certainly كَانُوا۟ they were مِن before قَبْلِ before أَن [that] يُنَزَّلَ it was sent down عَلَيْهِم upon them مِّن [before it] قَبْلِهِۦ [before it] لَمُبْلِسِينَ surely in despair

فَٱنظُرْ So look إِلَىٰٓ at ءَاثَـٰرِ (the) effects رَحْمَتِ (of the) Mercy ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah كَيْفَ how يُحْىِ He gives life ٱلْأَرْضَ (to) the earth بَعْدَ after مَوْتِهَآ its death ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed ذَٰلِكَ that لَمُحْىِ surely He (will) give life ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ (to) the dead ۖ   وَهُوَ And He عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful

وَلَئِنْ But if أَرْسَلْنَا We sent رِيحًا a wind فَرَأَوْهُ and they see it مُصْفَرًّا turn yellow لَّظَلُّوا۟ certainly they continue مِنۢ after it بَعْدِهِۦ after it يَكْفُرُونَ (in) disbelief

فَإِنَّكَ So indeed, you لَا (can) not تُسْمِعُ make the dead hear ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ make the dead hear وَلَا and not تُسْمِعُ make the deaf hear ٱلصُّمَّ make the deaf hear ٱلدُّعَآءَ the call إِذَا when وَلَّوْا۟ they turn مُدْبِرِينَ retreating

وَمَآ And not أَنتَ you بِهَـٰدِ can guide ٱلْعُمْىِ the blind عَن from ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ their error ۖ   إِن Not تُسْمِعُ you can make hear إِلَّا except مَن (those) who يُؤْمِنُ believe بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا in Our Verses فَهُم so they مُّسْلِمُونَ surrender

ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَكُم created you مِّن from ضَعْفٍ weakness ثُمَّ then جَعَلَ made مِنۢ after بَعْدِ after ضَعْفٍ weakness قُوَّةً strength ثُمَّ then جَعَلَ made مِنۢ after بَعْدِ after قُوَّةٍ strength ضَعْفًا weakness وَشَيْبَةً and gray hair ۚ   يَخْلُقُ He creates مَا what يَشَآءُ He wills ۖ   وَهُوَ and He ٱلْعَلِيمُ (is) the All-Knower ٱلْقَدِيرُ the All-Powerful

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day تَقُومُ will (be) established ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour يُقْسِمُ will swear ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ the criminals مَا not لَبِثُوا۟ they remained غَيْرَ but سَاعَةٍ an hour ۚ   كَذَٰلِكَ Thus كَانُوا۟ they were يُؤْفَكُونَ deluded

وَقَالَ But will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who أُوتُوا۟ were given ٱلْعِلْمَ the knowledge وَٱلْإِيمَـٰنَ and the faith لَقَدْ Verily لَبِثْتُمْ you remained فِى by كِتَـٰبِ (the) Decree ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah إِلَىٰ until يَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلْبَعْثِ (of) Resurrection ۖ   فَهَـٰذَا And this يَوْمُ (is the) Day ٱلْبَعْثِ (of) the Resurrection وَلَـٰكِنَّكُمْ but you كُنتُمْ were لَا not تَعْلَمُونَ knowing

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ So that Day لَّا not يَنفَعُ will profit ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوا۟ wronged مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ their excuses وَلَا and not هُمْ they يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ will be allowed to make amends

وَلَقَدْ And verily ضَرَبْنَا We (have) set forth لِلنَّاسِ for mankind فِى in هَـٰذَا this ٱلْقُرْءَانِ [the] Quran مِن of كُلِّ every مَثَلٍ example ۚ   وَلَئِن But if جِئْتَهُم you bring them بِـَٔايَةٍ a sign لَّيَقُولَنَّ surely will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieve إِنْ Not أَنتُمْ you إِلَّا (are) except مُبْطِلُونَ falsifiers

كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يَطْبَعُ Allah seals ٱللَّهُ Allah seals عَلَىٰ [on] قُلُوبِ (the) hearts ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know

فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient إِنَّ Indeed وَعْدَ (the) Promise ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah حَقٌّ (is) true ۖ   وَلَا And (let) not يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ take you in light estimation ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا (are) not يُوقِنُونَ certain in faith
