حمٓ Ha Meem

وَٱلْكِتَـٰبِ By the Book ٱلْمُبِينِ the clear

إِنَّا Indeed, We جَعَلْنَـٰهُ (have) made it قُرْءَٰنًا a Quran عَرَبِيًّا (in) Arabic لَّعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَعْقِلُونَ understand

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it فِىٓ (is) in أُمِّ (the) Mother ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book لَدَيْنَا with Us لَعَلِىٌّ surely exalted حَكِيمٌ full of wisdom

أَفَنَضْرِبُ Then should We take away عَنكُمُ from you ٱلذِّكْرَ the Reminder صَفْحًا disregarding (you) أَن because كُنتُمْ you are قَوْمًا a people مُّسْرِفِينَ transgressing

وَكَمْ And how many أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مِن of نَّبِىٍّ a Prophet فِى among ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ the former (people)

وَمَا And not يَأْتِيهِم came to them مِّن any Prophet نَّبِىٍّ any Prophet إِلَّا but كَانُوا۟ they used to بِهِۦ mock at him يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ mock at him

فَأَهْلَكْنَآ Then We destroyed أَشَدَّ stronger مِنْهُم than them بَطْشًا (in) power وَمَضَىٰ and has passed مَثَلُ (the) example ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people)

وَلَئِن And if سَأَلْتَهُم you ask them مَّنْ Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth لَيَقُولُنَّ They will surely say خَلَقَهُنَّ Created them ٱلْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower

ٱلَّذِى The One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth مَهْدًا a bed وَجَعَلَ and made لَكُمْ for you فِيهَا therein سُبُلًا roads لَّعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَهْتَدُونَ (be) guided

وَٱلَّذِى And the One Who نَزَّلَ sends down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءًۢ water بِقَدَرٍ in (due) measure فَأَنشَرْنَا then We revive بِهِۦ with it بَلْدَةً a land مَّيْتًا dead ۚ   كَذَٰلِكَ thus تُخْرَجُونَ you will be brought forth

وَٱلَّذِى And the One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ the pairs كُلَّهَا all of them وَجَعَلَ and made لَكُم for you مِّنَ [of] ٱلْفُلْكِ the ships وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ and the cattle مَا what تَرْكَبُونَ you ride

لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ That you may sit firmly عَلَىٰ on ظُهُورِهِۦ their backs ثُمَّ then تَذْكُرُوا۟ remember نِعْمَةَ (the) favor رَبِّكُمْ (of) your Lord إِذَا when ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ you sit firmly عَلَيْهِ on them وَتَقُولُوا۟ and say سُبْحَـٰنَ Glory be (to) ٱلَّذِى the One Who سَخَّرَ (has) subjected لَنَا to us هَـٰذَا this وَمَا and not كُنَّا we were لَهُۥ of it مُقْرِنِينَ capable

وَإِنَّآ And indeed, we إِلَىٰ to رَبِّنَا our Lord لَمُنقَلِبُونَ will surely return

وَجَعَلُوا۟ But they attribute لَهُۥ to Him مِنْ from عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves جُزْءًا a portion ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ man لَكَفُورٌ surely (is) clearly ungrateful مُّبِينٌ surely (is) clearly ungrateful

أَمِ Or ٱتَّخَذَ has He taken مِمَّا of what يَخْلُقُ He has created بَنَاتٍ daughters وَأَصْفَىٰكُم and He has chosen (for) you بِٱلْبَنِينَ sons

وَإِذَا And when بُشِّرَ is given good news أَحَدُهُم (to) one of them بِمَا of what ضَرَبَ he sets up لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ for the Most Gracious مَثَلًا (as) a likeness ظَلَّ becomes وَجْهُهُۥ his face مُسْوَدًّا dark وَهُوَ and he كَظِيمٌ (is) filled with grief

أَوَمَن Then (is one) who يُنَشَّؤُا۟ is brought up فِى in ٱلْحِلْيَةِ ornaments وَهُوَ and he فِى in ٱلْخِصَامِ the dispute غَيْرُ (is) not مُبِينٍ clear

وَجَعَلُوا۟ And they made ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ the Angels ٱلَّذِينَ those who هُمْ themselves عِبَـٰدُ (are) slaves ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious إِنَـٰثًا females ۚ   أَشَهِدُوا۟ Did they witness خَلْقَهُمْ their creation ۚ   سَتُكْتَبُ Will be recorded شَهَـٰدَتُهُمْ their testimony وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ and they will be questioned

وَقَالُوا۟ And they say لَوْ If شَآءَ had willed ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ the Most Gracious مَا we would not have worshipped them عَبَدْنَـٰهُم we would not have worshipped them ۗ   مَّا Not لَهُم they have بِذَٰلِكَ about that مِنْ any عِلْمٍ knowledge ۖ   إِنْ Nothing هُمْ they (do) إِلَّا but يَخْرُصُونَ lie

أَمْ Or ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ have We given them كِتَـٰبًا a book مِّن before it قَبْلِهِۦ before it فَهُم so they بِهِۦ to it مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ (are) holding fast

بَلْ Nay قَالُوٓا۟ they say إِنَّا Indeed, we وَجَدْنَآ [we] found ءَابَآءَنَا our forefathers عَلَىٰٓ upon أُمَّةٍ a religion وَإِنَّا and indeed, we عَلَىٰٓ on ءَاثَـٰرِهِم their footsteps مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) guided

وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus مَآ not أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مِن before you قَبْلِكَ before you فِى in قَرْيَةٍ a town مِّن any نَّذِيرٍ warner إِلَّا except قَالَ said مُتْرَفُوهَآ (the) wealthy ones of it إِنَّا Indeed, we وَجَدْنَآ [we] found ءَابَآءَنَا our forefathers عَلَىٰٓ on أُمَّةٍ a religion وَإِنَّا and indeed, we عَلَىٰٓ [on] ءَاثَـٰرِهِم their footsteps مُّقْتَدُونَ (are) following

قَـٰلَ He said أَوَلَوْ Even if جِئْتُكُم I brought you بِأَهْدَىٰ better guidance مِمَّا than what وَجَدتُّمْ you found عَلَيْهِ on it ءَابَآءَكُمْ your forefathers ۖ   قَالُوٓا۟ They said إِنَّا Indeed, we بِمَآ with what أُرْسِلْتُم you are sent بِهِۦ with [it] كَـٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers

فَٱنتَقَمْنَا So We took retribution مِنْهُمْ from them ۖ   فَٱنظُرْ Then see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ (of) the deniers

وَإِذْ And when قَالَ Ibrahim Said إِبْرَٰهِيمُ Ibrahim Said لِأَبِيهِ to his father وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ and his people إِنَّنِى Indeed, I (am) بَرَآءٌ disassociated مِّمَّا from what تَعْبُدُونَ you worship

إِلَّا Except ٱلَّذِى the One Who فَطَرَنِى created me فَإِنَّهُۥ and indeed, He سَيَهْدِينِ will guide me

وَجَعَلَهَا And he made it كَلِمَةًۢ a word بَاقِيَةً lasting فِى among عَقِبِهِۦ his descendents لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return

بَلْ Nay مَتَّعْتُ I gave enjoyment هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ (to) these وَءَابَآءَهُمْ and their forefathers حَتَّىٰ until جَآءَهُمُ came to them ٱلْحَقُّ the truth وَرَسُولٌ and a Messenger مُّبِينٌ clear

وَلَمَّا And when جَآءَهُمُ came to them ٱلْحَقُّ the truth قَالُوا۟ they said هَـٰذَا This سِحْرٌ (is) magic وَإِنَّا and indeed, we بِهِۦ of it كَـٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers

وَقَالُوا۟ And they say لَوْلَا Why not نُزِّلَ was sent down هَـٰذَا this ٱلْقُرْءَانُ the Quran عَلَىٰ to رَجُلٍ a man مِّنَ from ٱلْقَرْيَتَيْنِ the two towns عَظِيمٍ great

أَهُمْ Do they يَقْسِمُونَ distribute رَحْمَتَ (the) Mercy رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord ۚ   نَحْنُ We قَسَمْنَا [We] distribute بَيْنَهُم among them مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ their livelihood فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world ۚ   وَرَفَعْنَا and We raise بَعْضَهُمْ some of them فَوْقَ above بَعْضٍ others دَرَجَـٰتٍ (in) degrees لِّيَتَّخِذَ so that may take بَعْضُهُم some of them بَعْضًا others سُخْرِيًّا (for) service ۗ   وَرَحْمَتُ But (the) Mercy رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord خَيْرٌ (is) better مِّمَّا than what يَجْمَعُونَ they accumulate

وَلَوْلَآ And if not أَن that يَكُونَ (would) become ٱلنَّاسُ [the] mankind أُمَّةً a community وَٰحِدَةً one لَّجَعَلْنَا We (would have) made لِمَن for (one) who يَكْفُرُ disbelieves بِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ in the Most Gracious لِبُيُوتِهِمْ for their houses سُقُفًا roofs مِّن of فِضَّةٍ silver وَمَعَارِجَ and stairways عَلَيْهَا upon which يَظْهَرُونَ they mount

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ And for their houses أَبْوَٰبًا doors وَسُرُرًا and couches عَلَيْهَا upon which يَتَّكِـُٔونَ they recline

وَزُخْرُفًا And ornaments of gold ۚ   وَإِن And not (is) كُلُّ all ذَٰلِكَ that لَمَّا but مَتَـٰعُ an enjoyment ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ (of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world ۚ   وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ And the Hereafter عِندَ with رَبِّكَ your Lord لِلْمُتَّقِينَ (is) for the righteous

وَمَن And whoever يَعْشُ turns away عَن from ذِكْرِ (the) remembrance ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious نُقَيِّضْ We appoint لَهُۥ for him شَيْطَـٰنًا a devil فَهُوَ then he لَهُۥ (is) to him قَرِينٌ a companion

وَإِنَّهُمْ And indeed, they لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ surely, turn them عَنِ from ٱلسَّبِيلِ the Path وَيَحْسَبُونَ and they think أَنَّهُم that they مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) guided

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَا when جَآءَنَا he comes to Us قَالَ he says يَـٰلَيْتَ O would that بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَكَ and between you بُعْدَ (were the) distance ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ (of) the East and the West فَبِئْسَ How wretched is ٱلْقَرِينُ the companion

وَلَن And never يَنفَعَكُمُ will benefit you ٱلْيَوْمَ the Day إِذ when ظَّلَمْتُمْ you have wronged أَنَّكُمْ that you فِى (will be) in ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment مُشْتَرِكُونَ sharing

أَفَأَنتَ Then can you تُسْمِعُ cause to hear ٱلصُّمَّ the deaf أَوْ or تَهْدِى guide ٱلْعُمْىَ the blind وَمَن and (one) who كَانَ is فِى in ضَلَـٰلٍ an error مُّبِينٍ clear

فَإِمَّا And whether نَذْهَبَنَّ We take you away بِكَ We take you away فَإِنَّا then indeed, We مِنْهُم from them مُّنتَقِمُونَ (will) take retribution

أَوْ Or نُرِيَنَّكَ We show you ٱلَّذِى that which وَعَدْنَـٰهُمْ We have promised them فَإِنَّا then indeed, We عَلَيْهِم over them مُّقْتَدِرُونَ have full power

فَٱسْتَمْسِكْ So hold fast بِٱلَّذِىٓ to that which أُوحِىَ is revealed إِلَيْكَ to you ۖ   إِنَّكَ Indeed, you عَلَىٰ (are) on صِرَٰطٍ a Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍ Straight

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it لَذِكْرٌ (is) surely, a Reminder لَّكَ for you وَلِقَوْمِكَ and your people ۖ   وَسَوْفَ and soon تُسْـَٔلُونَ you will be questioned

وَسْـَٔلْ And ask مَنْ (those) whom أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مِن before you قَبْلِكَ before you مِن of رُّسُلِنَآ Our Messengers أَجَعَلْنَا did We make مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious ءَالِهَةً gods يُعْبَدُونَ to be worshipped

وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مُوسَىٰ Musa بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ with Our Signs إِلَىٰ to فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ and his chiefs فَقَالَ and he said إِنِّى Indeed, I am رَسُولُ a Messenger رَبِّ (of the) Lord ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds

فَلَمَّا But when جَآءَهُم he came to them بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ with Our Signs إِذَا behold هُم They مِّنْهَا at them يَضْحَكُونَ laughed

وَمَا And not نُرِيهِم We showed them مِّنْ of ءَايَةٍ a Sign إِلَّا but هِىَ it أَكْبَرُ (was) greater مِنْ than أُخْتِهَا its sister ۖ   وَأَخَذْنَـٰهُم and We seized them بِٱلْعَذَابِ with the punishment لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return

وَقَالُوا۟ And they said يَـٰٓأَيُّهَ O ٱلسَّاحِرُ [the] magician ٱدْعُ Invoke لَنَا for us رَبَّكَ your Lord بِمَا by what عَهِدَ He has made covenant عِندَكَ with you إِنَّنَا Indeed, we لَمُهْتَدُونَ (will) surely be guided

فَلَمَّا But when كَشَفْنَا We removed عَنْهُمُ from them ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment إِذَا behold هُمْ They يَنكُثُونَ broke (their word)

وَنَادَىٰ And called out فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun فِى among قَوْمِهِۦ his people قَالَ he said يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people أَلَيْسَ Is not لِى for me مُلْكُ (the) kingdom مِصْرَ (of) Egypt وَهَـٰذِهِ and these ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ [the] rivers تَجْرِى flowing مِن underneath me تَحْتِىٓ underneath me ۖ   أَفَلَا Then do not تُبْصِرُونَ you see

أَمْ Or أَنَا۠ am I خَيْرٌ better مِّنْ than هَـٰذَا this ٱلَّذِى one who هُوَ he مَهِينٌ (is) insignificant وَلَا and hardly يَكَادُ and hardly يُبِينُ clear

فَلَوْلَآ Then why not أُلْقِىَ are placed عَلَيْهِ on him أَسْوِرَةٌ bracelets مِّن of ذَهَبٍ gold أَوْ or جَآءَ come مَعَهُ with him ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels مُقْتَرِنِينَ accompanying (him)

فَٱسْتَخَفَّ So he bluffed قَوْمَهُۥ his people فَأَطَاعُوهُ and they obeyed him ۚ   إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were قَوْمًا a people فَـٰسِقِينَ defiantly disobedient

فَلَمَّآ So when ءَاسَفُونَا they angered Us ٱنتَقَمْنَا We took retribution مِنْهُمْ from them فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ and We drowned them أَجْمَعِينَ all

فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ And We made them سَلَفًا a precedent وَمَثَلًا and an example لِّلْـَٔاخِرِينَ for the later (generations)

وَلَمَّا And when ضُرِبَ is presented ٱبْنُ (the) son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam مَثَلًا (as) an example إِذَا behold قَوْمُكَ Your people مِنْهُ about it يَصِدُّونَ laughed aloud

وَقَالُوٓا۟ And they said ءَأَـٰلِهَتُنَا Are our gods خَيْرٌ better أَمْ or هُوَ he ۚ   مَا Not ضَرَبُوهُ they present it لَكَ to you إِلَّا except جَدَلًۢا (for) argument ۚ   بَلْ Nay هُمْ they قَوْمٌ (are) a people خَصِمُونَ argumentative

إِنْ Not هُوَ he إِلَّا (was) except عَبْدٌ a slave أَنْعَمْنَا We bestowed Our favor عَلَيْهِ on him وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ and We made him مَثَلًا an example لِّبَنِىٓ for (the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ for (the) Children of Israel

وَلَوْ And if نَشَآءُ We willed لَجَعَلْنَا surely We (could have) made مِنكُم among you مَّلَـٰٓئِكَةً Angels فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth يَخْلُفُونَ succeeding

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it لَعِلْمٌ surely (is) a knowledge لِّلسَّاعَةِ of the Hour فَلَا So (do) not تَمْتَرُنَّ (be) doubtful بِهَا about it وَٱتَّبِعُونِ and follow Me ۚ   هَـٰذَا This صِرَٰطٌ (is the) Path مُّسْتَقِيمٌ Straight

وَلَا And (let) not يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ avert you ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ the Shaitaan ۖ   إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he لَكُمْ (is) for you عَدُوٌّ an enemy مُّبِينٌ clear

وَلَمَّا And when جَآءَ came عِيسَىٰ Isa بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear proofs قَالَ he said قَدْ Verily جِئْتُكُم I have come to you بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ with wisdom وَلِأُبَيِّنَ and that I make clear لَكُم to you بَعْضَ some ٱلَّذِى (of) that which تَخْتَلِفُونَ you differ فِيهِ in it ۖ   فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me

إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah هُوَ He رَبِّى (is) my Lord وَرَبُّكُمْ and your Lord فَٱعْبُدُوهُ so worship Him ۚ   هَـٰذَا This صِرَٰطٌ (is) a Path مُّسْتَقِيمٌ Straight

فَٱخْتَلَفَ But differed ٱلْأَحْزَابُ the factions مِنۢ from بَيْنِهِمْ among them ۖ   فَوَيْلٌ so woe لِّلَّذِينَ to those who ظَلَمُوا۟ wronged مِنْ from عَذَابِ (the) punishment يَوْمٍ (of the) Day أَلِيمٍ painful

هَلْ Are يَنظُرُونَ they waiting إِلَّا except ٱلسَّاعَةَ (for) the Hour أَن that تَأْتِيَهُم it should come on them بَغْتَةً suddenly وَهُمْ while they لَا (do) not يَشْعُرُونَ perceive

ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُ Friends يَوْمَئِذٍۭ that Day بَعْضُهُمْ some of them لِبَعْضٍ to others عَدُوٌّ (will be) enemies إِلَّا except ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous

يَـٰعِبَادِ O My slaves لَا No خَوْفٌ fear عَلَيْكُمُ on you ٱلْيَوْمَ this Day وَلَآ and not أَنتُمْ you تَحْزَنُونَ will grieve

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا in Our Verses وَكَانُوا۟ and were مُسْلِمِينَ submissive

ٱدْخُلُوا۟ Enter ٱلْجَنَّةَ Paradise أَنتُمْ you وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ and your spouses تُحْبَرُونَ delighted

يُطَافُ Will be circulated عَلَيْهِم for them بِصِحَافٍ plates مِّن of ذَهَبٍ gold وَأَكْوَابٍ and cups ۖ   وَفِيهَا And therein مَا (is) what تَشْتَهِيهِ desires ٱلْأَنفُسُ the souls وَتَلَذُّ and delights ٱلْأَعْيُنُ the eyes ۖ   وَأَنتُمْ and you فِيهَا therein خَـٰلِدُونَ will abide forever

وَتِلْكَ And this ٱلْجَنَّةُ (is) the Paradise ٱلَّتِىٓ which أُورِثْتُمُوهَا you are made to inherit بِمَا for what كُنتُمْ you used to تَعْمَلُونَ do

لَكُمْ For you فِيهَا therein فَـٰكِهَةٌ (are) fruits كَثِيرَةٌ abundant مِّنْهَا from it تَأْكُلُونَ you will eat

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals فِى (will be) in عَذَابِ (the) punishment جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell خَـٰلِدُونَ abiding forever

لَا Not يُفَتَّرُ will it subside عَنْهُمْ for them وَهُمْ and they فِيهِ in it مُبْلِسُونَ (will) despair

وَمَا And not ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ We wronged them وَلَـٰكِن but كَانُوا۟ they were هُمُ themselves ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ wrongdoers

وَنَادَوْا۟ And they will call يَـٰمَـٰلِكُ O Malik لِيَقْضِ Let put an end عَلَيْنَا to us رَبُّكَ your Lord ۖ   قَالَ He (will) say إِنَّكُم Indeed, you مَّـٰكِثُونَ (will) remain

لَقَدْ Certainly جِئْنَـٰكُم We have brought you بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَلَـٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَكُمْ most of you لِلْحَقِّ to the truth كَـٰرِهُونَ (are) averse

أَمْ Or أَبْرَمُوٓا۟ have they determined أَمْرًا an affair فَإِنَّا Then indeed, We مُبْرِمُونَ (are) determined

أَمْ Or يَحْسَبُونَ (do) they think أَنَّا that We لَا (can) not نَسْمَعُ hear سِرَّهُمْ their secret(s) وَنَجْوَىٰهُم and their private counsel(s) ۚ   بَلَىٰ Nay وَرُسُلُنَا and Our Messengers لَدَيْهِمْ with them يَكْتُبُونَ are recording

قُلْ Say إِن If كَانَ had لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious وَلَدٌ a son فَأَنَا۠ Then, I أَوَّلُ (would be the) first ٱلْعَـٰبِدِينَ (of) the worshippers

سُبْحَـٰنَ Glory be رَبِّ (to the) Lord ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth رَبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَرْشِ (of) the Throne عَمَّا above what يَصِفُونَ they ascribe

فَذَرْهُمْ So leave them يَخُوضُوا۟ (to) converse vainly وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ and play حَتَّىٰ until يُلَـٰقُوا۟ they meet يَوْمَهُمُ their Day ٱلَّذِى which يُوعَدُونَ they are promised

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven إِلَـٰهٌ God وَفِى and in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth إِلَـٰهٌ God ۚ   وَهُوَ And He ٱلْحَكِيمُ (is) the All-Wise ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower

وَتَبَارَكَ And blessed (is) ٱلَّذِى the One Who لَهُۥ to Whom مُلْكُ (belongs the) dominion ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between both of them وَعِندَهُۥ and with Him عِلْمُ (is the) knowledge ٱلسَّاعَةِ (of) the Hour وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned

وَلَا And not يَمْلِكُ have power ٱلَّذِينَ those whom يَدْعُونَ they invoke مِن besides Him دُونِهِ besides Him ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ (for) the intercession إِلَّا except مَن who شَهِدَ testifies بِٱلْحَقِّ to the truth وَهُمْ and they يَعْلَمُونَ know

وَلَئِن And if سَأَلْتَهُم you ask them مَّنْ who خَلَقَهُمْ created them لَيَقُولُنَّ they will certainly say ٱللَّهُ Allah ۖ   فَأَنَّىٰ Then how يُؤْفَكُونَ are they deluded

وَقِيلِهِۦ And his saying يَـٰرَبِّ O my Lord إِنَّ Indeed هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ these قَوْمٌ (are) a people لَّا (who do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe

فَٱصْفَحْ So turn away عَنْهُمْ from them وَقُلْ and say سَلَـٰمٌ Peace ۚ   فَسَوْفَ But soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will know
