Surah 23: Al-Mu'minun

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Approved Dengan nama Allah yang Al-Rahman, yang Al-Raheem.

قَدْ Indeed أَفْلَحَ successful ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ (are) the believers

Berjayalah orang-orang beriman!

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] فِى during صَلَاتِهِمْ their prayers خَـٰشِعُونَ (are) humbly submissive

Mereka yang khusyuk dalam solatnya.

وَٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] عَنِ from ٱللَّغْوِ the vain talk مُعْرِضُونَ turn away

Dan mereka yang menjauhkan diri dari perkara sia-sia.

وَٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] لِلزَّكَوٰةِ of purification works فَـٰعِلُونَ (are) doers

Dan mereka yang menunaikan zakat.

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who هُمْ [they] لِفُرُوجِهِمْ of their modesty حَـٰفِظُونَ (are) guardians

Dan mereka yang menjaga kemaluannya,

إِلَّا Except عَلَىٰٓ from أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ their spouses أَوْ or مَا what مَلَكَتْ possess أَيْمَـٰنُهُمْ their right hands فَإِنَّهُمْ then indeed, they غَيْرُ (are) not مَلُومِينَ blameworthy

Kecuali kepada isteri-isteri mereka atau hamba yang mereka miliki – maka mereka tidak dipersalahkan.

فَمَنِ Then whoever ٱبْتَغَىٰ seeks وَرَآءَ beyond ذَٰلِكَ that فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلْعَادُونَ (are) the transgressors

Tapi sesiapa yang mencari di luar itu, merekalah orang yang melampaui batas.

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who هُمْ [they] لِأَمَـٰنَـٰتِهِمْ of their trusts وَعَهْدِهِمْ and their promise(s) رَٰعُونَ (are) observers

Dan mereka yang menjaga amanah dan janji mereka.

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who هُمْ [they] عَلَىٰ over صَلَوَٰتِهِمْ their prayers يُحَافِظُونَ they guard

Dan mereka yang tetap menjaga solat mereka.

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ Those هُمُ [they] ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ (are) the inheritors

Merekalah orang yang akan mewarisi,

ٱلَّذِينَ Who يَرِثُونَ will inherit ٱلْفِرْدَوْسَ the Paradise هُمْ They فِيهَا therein خَـٰلِدُونَ (will) abide forever

Yang akan mewarisi syurga Firdaus, mereka kekal di dalamnya.

وَلَقَدْ And indeed خَلَقْنَا We created ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ the humankind مِن from سُلَـٰلَةٍ an essence مِّن of طِينٍ clay

Dan sesungguhnya, Kami menciptakan manusia dari tanah liat,

ثُمَّ Then جَعَلْنَـٰهُ We placed him نُطْفَةً (as) a semen-drop فِى in قَرَارٍ a resting place مَّكِينٍ firm

Kemudian Kami jadikan dia dari setitis air mani yang diletakkan dalam tempat yang kukuh (rahim).

ثُمَّ Then خَلَقْنَا We created ٱلنُّطْفَةَ the semen-drop عَلَقَةً (into) a clinging substance فَخَلَقْنَا then We created ٱلْعَلَقَةَ the clinging substance مُضْغَةً (into) an embryonic lump فَخَلَقْنَا then We created ٱلْمُضْغَةَ the embryonic lump عِظَـٰمًا (into) bones فَكَسَوْنَا then We clothed ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ the bones لَحْمًا (with) flesh ثُمَّ then أَنشَأْنَـٰهُ We produce it خَلْقًا (as) a creation ءَاخَرَ another ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ So blessed is ٱللَّهُ Allah أَحْسَنُ (the) Best ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ (of) the Creators

Lalu Kami jadikan air mani itu segumpal darah, kemudian darah itu menjadi seketul daging, lalu daging itu Kami jadikan tulang, dan tulang itu Kami balut dengan daging. Kemudian Kami jadikan dia makhluk yang sempurna. Maha Suci Allah, Pencipta yang terbaik!

ثُمَّ Then إِنَّكُم indeed, you بَعْدَ after ذَٰلِكَ that لَمَيِّتُونَ surely (will) die

Kemudian, selepas itu, kamu pasti akan mati!

ثُمَّ Then إِنَّكُمْ indeed, you يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection تُبْعَثُونَ will be resurrected

Dan pada Hari Kiamat, kamu akan dibangkitkan kembali.

وَلَقَدْ And indeed خَلَقْنَا We (have) created فَوْقَكُمْ above you سَبْعَ seven طَرَآئِقَ paths وَمَا and not كُنَّا We are عَنِ of ٱلْخَلْقِ the creation غَـٰفِلِينَ unaware

Dan Kami menciptakan tujuh lapisan di atas kamu, dan Kami tidak lalai terhadap ciptaan Kami.

وَأَنزَلْنَا And We send down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءًۢ water بِقَدَرٍ in (due) measure فَأَسْكَنَّـٰهُ then We cause it to settle فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth ۖ وَإِنَّا And indeed, We عَلَىٰ on ذَهَابٍۭ taking it away بِهِۦ taking it away لَقَـٰدِرُونَ surely (are) Able

Dan Kami menurunkan air (hujan) dari langit dalam kadar tertentu, lalu Kami simpan air itu di bumi, dan Kami berkuasa untuk menghilangkannya.

فَأَنشَأْنَا Then We produced لَكُم for you بِهِۦ by it جَنَّـٰتٍ gardens مِّن of date-palms نَّخِيلٍ of date-palms وَأَعْنَـٰبٍ and grapevines لَّكُمْ for you فِيهَا in it فَوَٰكِهُ (are) fruits كَثِيرَةٌ abundant وَمِنْهَا and from them تَأْكُلُونَ you eat

Dengan air itu, Kami tumbuhkan untuk kamu kebun-kebun kurma dan anggur, di dalamnya ada banyak buah-buahan untuk kamu makan.

وَشَجَرَةً And a tree تَخْرُجُ (that) springs forth مِن from طُورِ Mount Sinai سَيْنَآءَ Mount Sinai تَنۢبُتُ (which) produces بِٱلدُّهْنِ oil وَصِبْغٍ and a relish لِّلْـَٔاكِلِينَ for those who eat

Dan Kami tumbuhkan juga pokok yang keluar dari Bukit Sinai, yang mengeluarkan minyak dan menjadi lauk bagi orang yang makan.

وَإِنَّ And indeed لَكُمْ for you فِى in ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ the cattle لَعِبْرَةً surely, (is) a lesson ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم We give you drink مِّمَّا from what فِى (is) in بُطُونِهَا their bellies وَلَكُمْ and for you فِيهَا in them مَنَـٰفِعُ (are) benefits كَثِيرَةٌ many وَمِنْهَا and of them تَأْكُلُونَ you eat

Dan sesungguhnya, pada binatang ternak ada pengajaran untuk kamu. Kami berikan kamu minum dari apa yang ada dalam perutnya, dan kamu juga mendapat banyak manfaat darinya, termasuklah makanan.

وَعَلَيْهَا And on them وَعَلَى and on ٱلْفُلْكِ [the] ships تُحْمَلُونَ you are carried

Dan di atas binatang itu serta kapal-kapal, kamu dibawa.

وَلَقَدْ And verily أَرْسَلْنَا We sent نُوحًا Nuh إِلَىٰ to قَوْمِهِۦ his people فَقَالَ and he said يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people ٱعْبُدُوا۟ Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah مَا not لَكُم for you مِّنْ (is) any إِلَـٰهٍ god غَيْرُهُۥٓ other than Him ۖ أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear

Dan sesungguhnya, Kami telah mengutus Nuh kepada kaumnya, lalu dia berkata, “Wahai kaumku! Sembahlah Allah, kamu tidak ada Tuhan selain-Nya. Tidakkah kamu mahu bertakwa?”

فَقَالَ But said ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ the chiefs ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved مِن among قَوْمِهِۦ his people مَا This is not هَـٰذَآ This is not إِلَّا but بَشَرٌ a man مِّثْلُكُمْ like you يُرِيدُ he wishes أَن to يَتَفَضَّلَ assert (his) superiority عَلَيْكُمْ over you وَلَوْ and if شَآءَ Allah had willed ٱللَّهُ Allah had willed لَأَنزَلَ surely He (would have) sent down مَلَـٰٓئِكَةً Angels مَّا Not سَمِعْنَا we heard بِهَـٰذَا of this فِىٓ from ءَابَآئِنَا our forefathers ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ our forefathers

Tetapi ketua-ketua dari kaumnya yang kafir berkata, “Dia ini tak lain hanyalah manusia biasa seperti kamu. Dia hanya mahu jadi lebih tinggi daripada kamu. Kalau Allah nak turunkan wahyu, pasti Dia turunkannya kepada malaikat. Kami tak pernah dengar benda macam ini dari nenek moyang kita.”

إِنْ Not هُوَ he إِلَّا (is) but رَجُلٌۢ a man بِهِۦ in him جِنَّةٌ (is) madness فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ so wait بِهِۦ concerning him حَتَّىٰ until حِينٍ a time

“Mungkin dia ini cuma seorang lelaki gila. Tunggulah sekejap, mungkin dia akan sedar.”

قَالَ He said رَبِّ My Lord ٱنصُرْنِى Help me بِمَا because كَذَّبُونِ they deny me

Nuh berdoa, “Ya Tuhanku, tolonglah aku kerana mereka telah mendustakan aku.”

فَأَوْحَيْنَآ So We inspired إِلَيْهِ to him أَنِ That ٱصْنَعِ construct ٱلْفُلْكَ the ship بِأَعْيُنِنَا under Our eyes وَوَحْيِنَا and Our inspiration فَإِذَا then when جَآءَ comes أَمْرُنَا Our Command وَفَارَ and gushes forth ٱلتَّنُّورُ the oven ۙ فَٱسْلُكْ then put فِيهَا into it مِن of كُلٍّ every (kind) زَوْجَيْنِ (of) mates ٱثْنَيْنِ two وَأَهْلَكَ and your family إِلَّا except مَن those سَبَقَ (has) preceded عَلَيْهِ against whom ٱلْقَوْلُ the Word مِنْهُمْ thereof ۖ وَلَا And (do) not تُخَـٰطِبْنِى address Me فِى concerning ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوٓا۟ wronged ۖ إِنَّهُم indeed, they مُّغْرَقُونَ (are) the ones to be drowned

Lalu Kami wahyukan kepadanya: “Buatlah bahtera di bawah pengawasan dan petunjuk Kami. Bila perintah Kami datang dan air mula melimpah, bawa masuk ke dalam kapal itu sepasang dari setiap makhluk serta ahli keluargamu – kecuali mereka yang telah ditetapkan hukuman. Jangan minta belas kasihan untuk orang zalim, kerana mereka pasti akan tenggelam.”

فَإِذَا And when ٱسْتَوَيْتَ you (have) boarded أَنتَ you وَمَن and whoever مَّعَكَ (is) with you عَلَى [on] ٱلْفُلْكِ the ship فَقُلِ then say ٱلْحَمْدُ Praise لِلَّهِ (be) to Allah ٱلَّذِى Who نَجَّىٰنَا (has) saved us مِنَ from ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers

Dan apabila kamu dan orang-orang yang bersamamu sudah berada dalam kapal itu, katakanlah: ‘Segala puji bagi Allah yang telah menyelamatkan kami dari kaum yang zalim.’

وَقُل And say رَّبِّ My Lord أَنزِلْنِى cause me to land مُنزَلًا (at) a landing place مُّبَارَكًا blessed وَأَنتَ and You خَيْرُ (are) the Best ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ (of) those who cause to land.'

Dan katakanlah: ‘Ya Tuhanku, tempatkanlah aku di tempat yang diberkati. Engkau sebaik-baik yang memberi tempat.’

إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ surely (are) Signs وَإِن and indeed كُنَّا We are لَمُبْتَلِينَ surely testing

Sesungguhnya, dalam kisah itu ada tanda-tanda (kebesaran Allah), dan sesungguhnya Kami benar-benar menguji manusia.

ثُمَّ Then أَنشَأْنَا We produced مِنۢ after them بَعْدِهِمْ after them قَرْنًا a generation ءَاخَرِينَ another

Kemudian, selepas mereka, Kami ciptakan generasi yang lain.

فَأَرْسَلْنَا And We sent فِيهِمْ among them رَسُولًا a Messenger مِّنْهُمْ from themselves أَنِ [that] ٱعْبُدُوا۟ Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah مَا not لَكُم for you مِّنْ (is) any إِلَـٰهٍ god غَيْرُهُۥٓ other than Him ۖ أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear

Dan Kami mengutus kepada mereka seorang rasul dari kalangan mereka sendiri, yang berkata, “Sembahlah Allah, kamu tidak ada Tuhan selain-Nya. Tidakkah kamu mahu bertakwa?”

وَقَالَ And said ٱلْمَلَأُ the chiefs مِن of قَوْمِهِ his people ٱلَّذِينَ who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and denied بِلِقَآءِ (the) meeting ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter وَأَتْرَفْنَـٰهُمْ while We had given them luxury فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world مَا Not هَـٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّا but بَشَرٌ a man مِّثْلُكُمْ like you يَأْكُلُ He eats مِمَّا of what تَأْكُلُونَ you eat مِنْهُ [from it] وَيَشْرَبُ and he drinks مِمَّا of what تَشْرَبُونَ you drink

Tetapi ketua-ketua dari kaumnya yang kafir, yang hidup mewah dan enggan beriman kepada hari akhirat, berkata, “Dia ini tak lain hanyalah manusia biasa seperti kamu. Dia makan seperti kamu makan, dan minum seperti kamu minum.”

وَلَئِنْ And surely if أَطَعْتُم you obey بَشَرًا a man مِّثْلَكُمْ like you إِنَّكُمْ indeed, you إِذًا then لَّخَـٰسِرُونَ surely (will be) losers

“Jika kamu ikut manusia biasa seperti ini, kamu akan rugi.”

أَيَعِدُكُمْ Does he promise you أَنَّكُمْ that you إِذَا when مِتُّمْ you are dead وَكُنتُمْ and you become تُرَابًا dust وَعِظَـٰمًا and bones أَنَّكُم that you مُّخْرَجُونَ (will be) brought forth

“Adakah dia menjanjikan kepada kamu bahawa apabila kamu mati dan menjadi tanah dan tulang belulang, kamu akan dihidupkan kembali?”

هَيْهَاتَ Far-(fetched) هَيْهَاتَ far-(fetched) لِمَا is what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised

“Jauh sekali, jauh sekali dari kebenaran apa yang dijanjikan itu!”

إِنْ Not هِىَ it إِلَّا (is) but حَيَاتُنَا our life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world نَمُوتُ we die وَنَحْيَا and we live وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we بِمَبْعُوثِينَ (will be) resurrected

“Kehidupan kita hanyalah kehidupan dunia. Kita mati dan hidup, dan kita tak akan dibangkitkan.”

إِنْ Not هُوَ (is) he إِلَّا but رَجُلٌ a man ٱفْتَرَىٰ who (has) invented عَلَى about ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we لَهُۥ (in) him بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (are) believers

“Dia ini hanyalah lelaki yang mereka-reka dusta terhadap Allah, dan kami tak akan beriman kepadanya.”

قَالَ He said رَبِّ My Lord ٱنصُرْنِى Help me بِمَا because كَذَّبُونِ they deny me

Rasul itu berdoa, “Ya Tuhanku, tolonglah aku kerana mereka telah mendustakan aku.”

قَالَ He said عَمَّا After a little while قَلِيلٍ After a little while لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ surely they will become نَـٰدِمِينَ regretful

Allah berfirman, “Tak lama lagi mereka pasti akan menyesal.”

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ So seized them ٱلصَّيْحَةُ the awful cry بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ and We made them غُثَآءً (as) rubbish of dead leaves ۚ فَبُعْدًا So away لِّلْقَوْمِ with the people ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers

Lalu mereka dibinasakan dengan suara yang dahsyat, dan mereka pun mati bergelimpangan.

ثُمَّ Then أَنشَأْنَا We produced مِنۢ after them بَعْدِهِمْ after them قُرُونًا a generation ءَاخَرِينَ another

Kemudian, selepas mereka, Kami ciptakan generasi lain.

مَا Not تَسْبِقُ can precede مِنْ any أُمَّةٍ nation أَجَلَهَا its term وَمَا and not يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ they (can) delay (it)

Tidak ada satu umat pun yang boleh mendahului ajalnya, dan mereka juga tak boleh menangguhkannya.

ثُمَّ Then أَرْسَلْنَا We sent رُسُلَنَا Our Messengers تَتْرَا (in) succession ۖ كُلَّ Every time مَا Every time جَآءَ came أُمَّةً (to) a nation رَّسُولُهَا its Messenger كَذَّبُوهُ they denied him ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا so We made (them) follow بَعْضَهُم some of them بَعْضًا others وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ and We made them أَحَادِيثَ narrations ۚ فَبُعْدًا So away لِّقَوْمٍ with a people لَّا not يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe

Kemudian Kami mengutus rasul-rasul berturut-turut. Setiap kali seorang rasul datang kepada umatnya, mereka mendustakannya. Lalu Kami binasakan mereka satu per satu, dan jadikan mereka sebagai cerita sejarah. Binasa dan celakalah bagi kaum yang tidak beriman!

ثُمَّ Then أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مُوسَىٰ Musa وَأَخَاهُ and his brother هَـٰرُونَ Harun بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا with Our Signs وَسُلْطَـٰنٍ and an authority مُّبِينٍ clear

Kemudian Kami mengutus Musa dan saudaranya Harun, dengan ayat-ayat Kami dan bukti yang jelas,

إِلَىٰ To فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ and his chiefs فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ but they behaved arrogantly وَكَانُوا۟ and they were قَوْمًا a people عَالِينَ haughty

Kepada Firaun dan para pembesarnya. Tapi mereka sombong, dan mereka adalah kaum yang angkuh.

فَقَالُوٓا۟ Then they said أَنُؤْمِنُ Shall we believe لِبَشَرَيْنِ (in) two men مِثْلِنَا like ourselves وَقَوْمُهُمَا while their people لَنَا for us عَـٰبِدُونَ (are) slaves

Mereka berkata, “Perlukah kita beriman kepada dua manusia biasa seperti kita, sedangkan kaum mereka (Bani Israil) adalah hamba kita?”

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا So they denied them فَكَانُوا۟ and they became مِنَ of ٱلْمُهْلَكِينَ those who were destroyed

Maka mereka mendustakan keduanya, lalu mereka termasuk dalam kalangan yang binasa.

وَلَقَدْ And verily ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Scripture لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَهْتَدُونَ be guided

Dan Kami telah memberikan Musa kitab (Taurat), supaya mereka mendapat petunjuk.

وَجَعَلْنَا And We made ٱبْنَ (the) son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam وَأُمَّهُۥٓ and his mother ءَايَةً a Sign وَءَاوَيْنَـٰهُمَآ and We sheltered them إِلَىٰ to رَبْوَةٍ a high ground ذَاتِ of tranquility قَرَارٍ of tranquility وَمَعِينٍ and water springs

Dan Kami jadikan anak Maryam (Isa) dan ibunya sebagai tanda kebesaran Kami, dan Kami tempatkan mereka di tanah tinggi yang mempunyai tempat tinggal dan air yang mengalir.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O Messengers ٱلرُّسُلُ O Messengers كُلُوا۟ Eat مِنَ of ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ the good things وَٱعْمَلُوا۟ and do صَـٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) ۖ إِنِّى Indeed, I Am بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do عَلِيمٌ All-Knower

"Wahai para rasul! Makanlah dari makanan yang baik dan lakukanlah amalan soleh. Sesungguhnya Aku Maha Mengetahui apa yang kamu lakukan."

وَإِنَّ And indeed هَـٰذِهِۦٓ this أُمَّتُكُمْ your religion أُمَّةً (is) religion وَٰحِدَةً one وَأَنَا۠ And I Am رَبُّكُمْ your Lord فَٱتَّقُونِ so fear Me

"Dan sesungguhnya, umat kamu ini adalah umat yang satu, dan Aku adalah Tuhan kamu. Maka bertakwalah kepada-Ku."

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ But they cut off أَمْرَهُم their affair (of unity) بَيْنَهُمْ between them زُبُرًا (into) sects ۖ كُلُّ each حِزْبٍۭ faction بِمَا in what لَدَيْهِمْ they have فَرِحُونَ rejoicing

Tetapi mereka berpecah menjadi beberapa kelompok, setiap kelompok berbangga dengan apa yang ada pada mereka.

فَذَرْهُمْ So leave them فِى in غَمْرَتِهِمْ their confusion حَتَّىٰ until حِينٍ a time

Maka biarkan mereka dalam kebingungan mereka buat sementara waktu.

أَيَحْسَبُونَ Do they think أَنَّمَا that what نُمِدُّهُم We extend to them بِهِۦ [with it] مِن of مَّالٍ wealth وَبَنِينَ and children

Apakah mereka menyangka bahawa dengan Kami memberi mereka harta dan anak-anak,

نُسَارِعُ We hasten لَهُمْ to them فِى in ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ the good ۚ بَل Nay لَّا not يَشْعُرُونَ they perceive

Itu bermaksud Kami segera memberi kebaikan kepada mereka? Tidak! Mereka tidak sedar.

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who هُم [they] مِّنْ from خَشْيَةِ (the) fear رَبِّهِم (of) their Lord مُّشْفِقُونَ (are) cautious

Sesungguhnya, orang-orang yang kerana takut kepada Tuhan mereka sentiasa berhati-hati,

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those هُم [they] بِـَٔايَـٰتِ in (the) Signs رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord يُؤْمِنُونَ believe

Dan mereka yang beriman kepada ayat-ayat Tuhan mereka,

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those هُم [they] بِرَبِّهِمْ with their Lord لَا (do) not يُشْرِكُونَ associate partners

Dan mereka yang tidak menyekutukan Tuhan mereka dengan sesuatu pun,

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يُؤْتُونَ give مَآ what ءَاتَوا۟ they give وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ while their hearts وَجِلَةٌ (are) fearful أَنَّهُمْ because they إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِمْ their Lord رَٰجِعُونَ (will) return

Dan mereka yang memberikan apa yang mereka berikan (sedekah dan amal) dengan hati yang takut (kerana mereka tahu mereka akan kembali kepada Tuhan mereka),

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ (It is) those يُسَـٰرِعُونَ who hasten فِى in ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ the good (deeds) وَهُمْ and they لَهَا in them سَـٰبِقُونَ (are) foremost

Mereka itulah orang-orang yang bersegera dalam kebaikan dan merekalah yang paling dahulu mendapatkannya.

وَلَا And not نُكَلِّفُ We burden نَفْسًا any soul إِلَّا except وُسْعَهَا (to) its capacity ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا and with Us كِتَـٰبٌ (is) a Record يَنطِقُ (which) speaks بِٱلْحَقِّ with the truth ۚ وَهُمْ and they لَا (will) not يُظْلَمُونَ be wronged

Dan Kami tidak membebankan seseorang melainkan sesuai dengan kemampuannya. Dan di sisi Kami ada kitab (catatan) yang mengatakan kebenaran, dan mereka tidak akan dizalimi.

بَلْ Nay قُلُوبُهُمْ their hearts فِى (are) in غَمْرَةٍ confusion مِّنْ over هَـٰذَا this وَلَهُمْ and for them أَعْمَـٰلٌ (are) deeds مِّن besides دُونِ besides ذَٰلِكَ that هُمْ they لَهَا for it عَـٰمِلُونَ (are) doers

Tetapi hati mereka lalai daripada ini, dan mereka memiliki amalan lain yang mereka tetap lakukan.

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَآ when أَخَذْنَا We seize مُتْرَفِيهِم their affluent ones بِٱلْعَذَابِ with the punishment إِذَا behold هُمْ They يَجْـَٔرُونَ cry for help

Sehingga apabila Kami timpakan azab kepada mereka yang hidup mewah di antara mereka, mereka pun mula merintih.

لَا (Do) not تَجْـَٔرُوا۟ cry for help ٱلْيَوْمَ today ۖ إِنَّكُم Indeed, you مِّنَّا from Us لَا not تُنصَرُونَ will be helped

Janganlah kamu merintih hari ini. Sesungguhnya kamu tidak akan mendapat pertolongan dari Kami.

قَدْ Verily كَانَتْ were ءَايَـٰتِى My Verses تُتْلَىٰ recited عَلَيْكُمْ to you فَكُنتُمْ but you used عَلَىٰٓ (to) on أَعْقَـٰبِكُمْ your heels تَنكِصُونَ turn back

Dulu, ayat-ayat-Ku telah dibacakan kepada kamu, tetapi kamu selalu berpaling darinya.

مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ (Being) arrogant بِهِۦ about it سَـٰمِرًا conversing by night تَهْجُرُونَ speaking evil

Dengan penuh kesombongan, kamu mengabaikannya, dan kamu memperkatakan hal yang tidak benar tentangnya.

أَفَلَمْ Then, do not يَدَّبَّرُوا۟ they ponder ٱلْقَوْلَ the Word أَمْ or جَآءَهُم has come to them مَّا what لَمْ not يَأْتِ (had) come ءَابَآءَهُمُ (to) their forefathers ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (to) their forefathers

Apakah mereka tidak merenungkan firman ini (Al-Qur'an)? Ataukah telah datang kepada mereka sesuatu yang belum pernah datang kepada nenek moyang mereka dahulu?

أَمْ Or لَمْ (do) not يَعْرِفُوا۟ they recognize رَسُولَهُمْ their Messenger فَهُمْ so they لَهُۥ (are) rejecting him مُنكِرُونَ (are) rejecting him

Atau mereka tidak mengenali rasul mereka, sehingga mereka mengingkarinya?

أَمْ Or يَقُولُونَ they say بِهِۦ In him جِنَّةٌۢ (is) madness ۚ بَلْ Nay جَآءَهُم he brought them بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ but most of them لِلْحَقِّ to the truth كَـٰرِهُونَ (are) averse

Atau mereka berkata bahawa dia itu gila? Tidak! Tetapi dia datang kepada mereka dengan kebenaran, tetapi kebanyakan mereka membenci kebenaran itu.

وَلَوِ But if ٱتَّبَعَ (had) followed ٱلْحَقُّ the truth أَهْوَآءَهُمْ their desires لَفَسَدَتِ surely (would) have been corrupted ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضُ and the earth وَمَن and whoever فِيهِنَّ (is) therein ۚ بَلْ Nay أَتَيْنَـٰهُم We have brought them بِذِكْرِهِمْ their reminder فَهُمْ but they عَن from ذِكْرِهِم their reminder مُّعْرِضُونَ (are) turning away

Sekiranya kebenaran itu mengikuti hawa nafsu mereka, pasti langit, bumi, dan segala yang ada di dalamnya akan hancur. Sebenarnya, Kami telah memberikan peringatan kepada mereka, tetapi mereka berpaling daripada peringatan itu.

أَمْ Or تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ you ask them خَرْجًا (for) a payment فَخَرَاجُ But the payment رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord خَيْرٌ (is) best ۖ وَهُوَ and He خَيْرُ (is) the Best ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ (of) the Providers

Atau kamu meminta upah daripada mereka? Sedangkan upah dari Tuhanmu lebih baik, dan Dia adalah sebaik-baik pemberi rezeki.

وَإِنَّكَ And indeed, you لَتَدْعُوهُمْ certainly call them إِلَىٰ to صِرَٰطٍ (the) Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍ Straight

Dan sesungguhnya, kamu menyeru mereka ke jalan yang lurus.

وَإِنَّ And indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter عَنِ from ٱلصِّرَٰطِ the path لَنَـٰكِبُونَ surely (are) deviating

Tetapi orang-orang yang tidak beriman kepada akhirat pasti menyimpang dari jalan itu.

وَلَوْ And if رَحِمْنَـٰهُمْ We had mercy on them وَكَشَفْنَا and We removed مَا what بِهِم (was) on them مِّن of ضُرٍّ (the) hardship لَّلَجُّوا۟ surely they would persist فِى in طُغْيَـٰنِهِمْ their transgression يَعْمَهُونَ wandering blindly

Sekiranya Kami merahmati mereka dan menghilangkan kesusahan mereka, pasti mereka akan terus-menerus dalam kesesatan mereka, terpukau dalam kebingungan.

وَلَقَدْ And verily أَخَذْنَـٰهُم We seized them بِٱلْعَذَابِ with the punishment فَمَا but not ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ they submit لِرَبِّهِمْ to their Lord وَمَا and not يَتَضَرَّعُونَ they supplicate humbly

Dan sesungguhnya, Kami telah menimpakan azab ke atas mereka, tetapi mereka tetap tidak tunduk kepada Tuhan mereka, malah terus berkeras kepala.

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَا when فَتَحْنَا We opened عَلَيْهِم for them بَابًا a gate ذَا of a punishment عَذَابٍ of a punishment شَدِيدٍ severe إِذَا behold هُمْ They فِيهِ in it مُبْلِسُونَ (will be in) despair

Sehingga apabila Kami buka kepada mereka pintu azab yang dahsyat, tiba-tiba mereka menjadi putus asa.

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَنشَأَ produced لَكُمُ for you ٱلسَّمْعَ the hearing وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ and the sight وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ and the feeling ۚ قَلِيلًا little مَّا (is) what تَشْكُرُونَ you give thanks

Dialah yang menciptakan bagi kamu pendengaran, penglihatan, dan hati. Tetapi sedikit sekali kamu bersyukur.

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who ذَرَأَكُمْ multiplied you فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him تُحْشَرُونَ you will be gathered

Dialah yang menciptakan kamu dan menjadikan kamu berkembang di bumi, dan kepada-Nya kamu akan dikumpulkan.

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يُحْىِۦ gives life وَيُمِيتُ and causes death وَلَهُ and for Him ٱخْتِلَـٰفُ (is the) alternation ٱلَّيْلِ (of) the night وَٱلنَّهَارِ and the day ۚ أَفَلَا Then will not تَعْقِلُونَ you reason

Dan Dialah yang menghidupkan dan mematikan, dan Dia yang menentukan pergantian malam dan siang. Tidakkah kamu memahami?

بَلْ Nay قَالُوا۟ they say مِثْلَ (the) like مَا (of) what قَالَ said ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ the former (people)

Tetapi mereka berkata seperti yang dikatakan oleh orang-orang terdahulu.

قَالُوٓا۟ They said أَءِذَا What! When مِتْنَا we are dead وَكُنَّا and become تُرَابًا dust وَعِظَـٰمًا and bones أَءِنَّا would we لَمَبْعُوثُونَ surely be resurrected

Mereka berkata, "Adakah setelah kami mati dan menjadi tanah dan tulang belulang, kami akan dibangkitkan kembali?"

لَقَدْ Verily وُعِدْنَا we have been promised نَحْنُ [we] وَءَابَآؤُنَا and our forefathers هَـٰذَا this مِن before قَبْلُ before إِنْ not هَـٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّآ but أَسَـٰطِيرُ (the) tales ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people)

"Sungguh, ini hanyalah dongeng orang dahulu."

قُل Say لِّمَنِ To whom (belongs) ٱلْأَرْضُ the earth وَمَن and whoever فِيهَآ (is) in it إِن if كُنتُمْ you تَعْلَمُونَ know

Katakanlah, "Siapakah yang memiliki bumi dan segala isinya, jika kamu mengetahui?"

سَيَقُولُونَ They will say لِلَّهِ To Allah ۚ قُلْ Say أَفَلَا Then will not تَذَكَّرُونَ you remember

Mereka pasti akan menjawab, "Milik Allah." Katakanlah, "Maka, tidakkah kamu mahu mengambil pelajaran?"

قُلْ Say مَن Who رَّبُّ (is the) Lord ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the seven heavens ٱلسَّبْعِ (of) the seven heavens وَرَبُّ and (the) Lord ٱلْعَرْشِ (of) the Throne ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great

Katakanlah, "Siapakah Tuhan langit yang tujuh dan Tuhan ‘Arsy yang agung?"

سَيَقُولُونَ They will say لِلَّهِ Allah ۚ قُلْ Say أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear (Him)

Mereka pasti akan berkata, "Milik Allah." Katakanlah, "Maka, tidakkah kamu bertakwa?"

قُلْ Say مَنۢ Who is (it) بِيَدِهِۦ in Whose Hand(s) مَلَكُوتُ (is the) dominion كُلِّ (of) all شَىْءٍ things وَهُوَ and He يُجِيرُ protects وَلَا and no (one) يُجَارُ (can) be protected عَلَيْهِ against Him إِن If كُنتُمْ you تَعْلَمُونَ know

Katakanlah, "Siapakah yang memiliki segala sesuatu, yang menguasai (segala urusan), tetapi Dia sendiri tidak dikuasai oleh sesiapa, jika kamu mengetahui?"

سَيَقُولُونَ They will say لِلَّهِ Allah ۚ قُلْ Say فَأَنَّىٰ Then how تُسْحَرُونَ are you deluded

Mereka pasti akan berkata, "Milik Allah." Katakanlah, "Jadi, bagaimana kamu boleh tertipu?"

بَلْ Nay أَتَيْنَـٰهُم We (have) brought them بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَإِنَّهُمْ but indeed, they لَكَـٰذِبُونَ surely, (are) liars

Sebenarnya, Kami telah mendatangkan kebenaran kepada mereka, tetapi mereka memang suka berdusta.

مَا Not ٱتَّخَذَ Allah has taken ٱللَّهُ Allah has taken مِن any وَلَدٍ son وَمَا and not كَانَ is مَعَهُۥ with Him مِنْ any إِلَـٰهٍ god ۚ إِذًا Then لَّذَهَبَ surely (would have) taken away كُلُّ each إِلَـٰهٍۭ god بِمَا what خَلَقَ he created وَلَعَلَا and surely would have overpowered بَعْضُهُمْ some of them عَلَىٰ [on] بَعْضٍ others ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ Glory be ٱللَّهِ (to) Allah عَمَّا above what يَصِفُونَ they attribute

Allah tidak mempunyai anak, dan tidak ada Tuhan lain bersama-Nya. Jika ada, pasti setiap Tuhan akan membawa ciptaan masing-masing, dan mereka pasti akan saling mengalahkan satu sama lain. Maha Suci Allah dari segala yang mereka sifatkan.

عَـٰلِمِ Knower ٱلْغَيْبِ (of) the unseen وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ and the witnessed فَتَعَـٰلَىٰ exalted is He عَمَّا above what يُشْرِكُونَ they associate

Dia Maha Mengetahui yang ghaib dan yang nyata, dan Dia Maha Tinggi dari apa yang mereka sekutukan.

قُل Say رَّبِّ My Lord إِمَّا If تُرِيَنِّى You should show me مَا what يُوعَدُونَ they are promised

Katakanlah, "Ya Tuhanku, jika Engkau mahu memperlihatkan kepadaku azab yang diancamkan kepada mereka,

رَبِّ My Lord فَلَا then (do) not تَجْعَلْنِى place me فِى among ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers

Maka, ya Tuhanku, janganlah Engkau jadikan aku dalam kalangan orang yang zalim."

وَإِنَّا And indeed We عَلَىٰٓ on أَن that نُّرِيَكَ We show you مَا what نَعِدُهُمْ We have promised them لَقَـٰدِرُونَ surely able

Dan sesungguhnya, Kami berkuasa untuk memperlihatkan kepadamu apa yang Kami janjikan kepada mereka.

ٱدْفَعْ Repel بِٱلَّتِى by that هِىَ which أَحْسَنُ (is) best ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ the evil ۚ نَحْنُ We أَعْلَمُ know best بِمَا of what يَصِفُونَ they attribute

Tolaklah kejahatan dengan cara yang lebih baik. Kami lebih tahu apa yang mereka katakan.

وَقُل And say رَّبِّ My Lord أَعُوذُ I seek refuge بِكَ in You مِنْ from هَمَزَٰتِ (the) suggestions ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ (of) the evil ones

Dan katakanlah, "Ya Tuhanku, aku berlindung kepada-Mu dari bisikan syaitan."

وَأَعُوذُ And I seek refuge بِكَ in You رَبِّ My Lord أَن Lest يَحْضُرُونِ they be present with me

"Dan aku berlindung kepada-Mu, ya Tuhanku, agar mereka tidak mendekati aku."

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَا when جَآءَ comes أَحَدَهُمُ (to) one of them ٱلْمَوْتُ the death قَالَ he says رَبِّ My Lord ٱرْجِعُونِ Send me back

Sehingga apabila kematian datang kepada seseorang dari mereka, dia berkata, "Ya Tuhanku, kembalikanlah aku ke dunia,

100

لَعَلِّىٓ That I may أَعْمَلُ do صَـٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) فِيمَا in what تَرَكْتُ I left behind ۚ كَلَّآ No ۚ إِنَّهَا Indeed, it كَلِمَةٌ (is) a word هُوَ he قَآئِلُهَا speaks it ۖ وَمِن and before them وَرَآئِهِم and before them بَرْزَخٌ (is) a barrier إِلَىٰ till يَوْمِ (the) Day يُبْعَثُونَ they are resurrected

Agar aku dapat berbuat baik dalam apa yang telah aku tinggalkan." Tidak! Itu hanyalah kata-kata yang dia ucapkan sahaja. Dan di hadapan mereka ada barzakh hingga hari mereka dibangkitkan.

101

فَإِذَا So when نُفِخَ is blown فِى in ٱلصُّورِ the trumpet فَلَآ then not أَنسَابَ (there) will be relationship بَيْنَهُمْ among them يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day وَلَا and not يَتَسَآءَلُونَ will they ask each other

Apabila sangkakala ditiup, maka tidak ada lagi hubungan kekeluargaan antara mereka pada hari itu, dan mereka juga tidak akan bertanya satu sama lain.

102

فَمَن Then (the one) whose ثَقُلَتْ (are) heavy مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ they ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ (are) the successful

Sesiapa yang berat timbangan amal baiknya, maka mereka itulah orang yang berjaya.

103

وَمَنْ But (the one) whose خَفَّتْ (are) light مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those ٱلَّذِينَ they [who] خَسِرُوٓا۟ have lost أَنفُسَهُمْ their souls فِى in جَهَنَّمَ Hell خَـٰلِدُونَ they (will) abide forever

Dan sesiapa yang ringan timbangan amal baiknya, maka mereka itulah orang yang merugikan diri sendiri. Mereka kekal dalam neraka.

104

تَلْفَحُ Will burn وُجُوهَهُمُ their faces ٱلنَّارُ the Fire وَهُمْ and they فِيهَا in it كَـٰلِحُونَ (will) grin with displaced lips

Wajah mereka dibakar oleh api neraka, dan mereka berada dalam keadaan muram dan hina.

105

أَلَمْ Were not تَكُنْ Were not ءَايَـٰتِى My Verses تُتْلَىٰ recited عَلَيْكُمْ to you فَكُنتُم and you used (to) بِهَا deny them تُكَذِّبُونَ deny them

(Dikatakan kepada mereka), “Bukankah ayat-ayat-Ku telah dibacakan kepada kamu, tetapi kamu tetap mendustakannya?”

106

قَالُوا۟ They (will) say رَبَّنَا Our Lord غَلَبَتْ Overcame عَلَيْنَا [on] us شِقْوَتُنَا our wretchedness وَكُنَّا and we were قَوْمًا a people ضَآلِّينَ astray

Mereka berkata, “Ya Tuhan kami, kesombongan kami telah mengalahkan kami, dan kami memang golongan yang sesat.”

107

رَبَّنَآ Our Lord أَخْرِجْنَا Bring us out مِنْهَا from it فَإِنْ then if عُدْنَا we return فَإِنَّا then indeed, we ظَـٰلِمُونَ (would be) wrongdoers

“Ya Tuhan kami, keluarkanlah kami dari neraka ini! Jika kami kembali (melakukan dosa), maka sesungguhnya kami adalah orang yang zalim.”

108

قَالَ He (will) say ٱخْسَـُٔوا۟ Remain despised فِيهَا in it وَلَا and (do) not تُكَلِّمُونِ speak to Me

Allah berfirman, “Diamlah kamu di dalamnya, dan jangan berbicara dengan-Ku!”

109

إِنَّهُۥ Indeed كَانَ (there) was فَرِيقٌ a party مِّنْ of عِبَادِى My slaves يَقُولُونَ (who) said رَبَّنَآ Our Lord ءَامَنَّا We believe فَٱغْفِرْ so forgive لَنَا us وَٱرْحَمْنَا and have mercy on us وَأَنتَ and You خَيْرُ (are) best ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ (of) those who show mercy

Dulu, ada segolongan hamba-Ku yang berdoa, ‘Ya Tuhan kami, kami telah beriman, maka ampunilah kami dan rahmatilah kami, kerana Engkau adalah sebaik-baik yang memberi rahmat.’

110

فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ But you took them سِخْرِيًّا (in) mockery حَتَّىٰٓ until أَنسَوْكُمْ they made you forget ذِكْرِى My remembrance وَكُنتُم and you used (to) مِّنْهُمْ at them تَضْحَكُونَ laugh

Tetapi kamu mengejek mereka, sehingga lupa mengingat Aku, dan kamu terus menertawakan mereka.

111

إِنِّى Indeed, I جَزَيْتُهُمُ have rewarded them ٱلْيَوْمَ this Day بِمَا because صَبَرُوٓا۟ they were patient أَنَّهُمْ indeed, they هُمُ [they] ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ (are) the successful ones

Hari ini, Aku memberi ganjaran kepada mereka atas kesabaran mereka. Mereka itulah orang yang berjaya.

112

قَـٰلَ He will say كَمْ How long لَبِثْتُمْ did you remain فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth عَدَدَ (in) number سِنِينَ (of) years

Allah bertanya (kepada ahli neraka), “Berapa lama kamu hidup di bumi?”

113

قَالُوا۟ They will say لَبِثْنَا We remained يَوْمًا a day أَوْ or بَعْضَ a part يَوْمٍ (of) a day فَسْـَٔلِ but ask ٱلْعَآدِّينَ those who keep count

Mereka menjawab, “Kami tinggal hanya sehari atau sebahagian hari sahaja. Tanyakan kepada mereka yang mengira (dengan tepat).”

114

قَـٰلَ He will say إِن Not لَّبِثْتُمْ you stayed إِلَّا but قَلِيلًا a little ۖ لَّوْ if أَنَّكُمْ only you كُنتُمْ [you] تَعْلَمُونَ knew

Allah berfirman, “Kamu hanya tinggal sebentar sahaja, kalau kamu tahu.”

115

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ Then did you think أَنَّمَا that خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ We created you عَبَثًا uselessly وَأَنَّكُمْ and that you إِلَيْنَا to Us لَا not تُرْجَعُونَ will be returned

“Maka, adakah kamu menyangka bahawa Kami menciptakan kamu dengan sia-sia, dan kamu tidak akan dikembalikan kepada Kami?”

116

فَتَعَـٰلَى So exalted is ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلْمَلِكُ the King ٱلْحَقُّ the Truth ۖ لَآ (There is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا except هُوَ Him رَبُّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَرْشِ (of) the Throne ٱلْكَرِيمِ Honorable

Maha Tinggi Allah, Raja yang sebenar! Tidak ada Tuhan selain Dia, Tuhan ‘Arsy yang mulia.

117

وَمَن And whoever يَدْعُ invokes مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah إِلَـٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ other لَا no بُرْهَـٰنَ proof لَهُۥ for him بِهِۦ in it فَإِنَّمَا Then only حِسَابُهُۥ his account عِندَ (is) with رَبِّهِۦٓ his Lord ۚ إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, [he] لَا not يُفْلِحُ will succeed ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers

Sesiapa yang menyembah Tuhan lain selain Allah tanpa sebarang bukti, maka balasannya adalah di sisi Tuhannya. Sesungguhnya, orang-orang kafir tidak akan berjaya.

118

وَقُل And say رَّبِّ My Lord ٱغْفِرْ Forgive وَٱرْحَمْ and have mercy وَأَنتَ and You خَيْرُ (are the) Best ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ (of) those who show mercy

Dan katakanlah, “Ya Tuhanku, ampunilah dan rahmatilah, kerana Engkau adalah sebaik-baik yang memberi rahmat.”
