وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ By those scattering ذَرْوًا dispersing

فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ And those carrying وِقْرًا a load

فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ And those sailing يُسْرًا (with) ease

فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ And those distributing أَمْرًا Command

إِنَّمَا Indeed, what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised لَصَادِقٌ (is) surely true

وَإِنَّ And indeed ٱلدِّينَ the Judgment لَوَٰقِعٌ (is) surely to occur

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ By the heaven ذَاتِ full of ٱلْحُبُكِ pathways

إِنَّكُمْ Indeed, you لَفِى (are) surely in قَوْلٍ a speech مُّخْتَلِفٍ differing

يُؤْفَكُ Deluded away عَنْهُ from it مَنْ (is he) who أُفِكَ is deluded

قُتِلَ Cursed be ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ the liars

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] فِى (are) in غَمْرَةٍ flood سَاهُونَ (of) heedlessness

يَسْـَٔلُونَ They ask أَيَّانَ When يَوْمُ (is the) Day ٱلدِّينِ (of) Judgment

يَوْمَ A Day هُمْ they عَلَى over ٱلنَّارِ the Fire يُفْتَنُونَ will be tried

ذُوقُوا۟ Taste فِتْنَتَكُمْ your trial هَـٰذَا This ٱلَّذِى (is) what كُنتُم you were بِهِۦ for it تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ seeking to hasten

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous فِى (will be) in جَنَّـٰتٍ Gardens وَعُيُونٍ and springs

ءَاخِذِينَ Taking مَآ what ءَاتَىٰهُمْ their Lord has given them رَبُّهُمْ their Lord has given them ۚ   إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were قَبْلَ before ذَٰلِكَ that مُحْسِنِينَ good-doers

كَانُوا۟ They used to قَلِيلًا little مِّنَ of ٱلَّيْلِ the night مَا [what] يَهْجَعُونَ sleep

وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ And in the hours before dawn هُمْ they يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ would ask forgiveness

وَفِىٓ And in أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ their wealth حَقٌّ (was the) right لِّلسَّآئِلِ (of) those who asked وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ and the deprived

وَفِى And in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth ءَايَـٰتٌ (are) signs لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ for those who are certain

وَفِىٓ And in أَنفُسِكُمْ yourselves ۚ   أَفَلَا Then will not تُبْصِرُونَ you see

وَفِى And in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven رِزْقُكُمْ (is) your provision وَمَا and what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised

فَوَرَبِّ Then by (the) Lord ٱلسَّمَآءِ (of) the heaven وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth إِنَّهُۥ indeed, it لَحَقٌّ (is) surely (the) truth مِّثْلَ (just) as مَآ [what] أَنَّكُمْ you تَنطِقُونَ speak

هَلْ Has أَتَىٰكَ reached you حَدِيثُ (the) narration ضَيْفِ (of the) guests إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ the honored

إِذْ When دَخَلُوا۟ they entered عَلَيْهِ upon him فَقَالُوا۟ and said سَلَـٰمًا Peace ۖ   قَالَ He said سَلَـٰمٌ Peace قَوْمٌ a people مُّنكَرُونَ unknown

فَرَاغَ Then he went إِلَىٰٓ to أَهْلِهِۦ his household فَجَآءَ and came بِعِجْلٍ with a calf سَمِينٍ fat

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ And he placed it near إِلَيْهِمْ [to] them قَالَ he said أَلَا Will not تَأْكُلُونَ you eat

فَأَوْجَسَ Then he felt مِنْهُمْ from them خِيفَةً a fear ۖ   قَالُوا۟ They said لَا (Do) not تَخَفْ fear ۖ   وَبَشَّرُوهُ and they gave him glad tidings بِغُلَـٰمٍ of a son عَلِيمٍ learned

فَأَقْبَلَتِ Then came forward ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ his wife فِى with صَرَّةٍ a loud voice فَصَكَّتْ and struck وَجْهَهَا her face وَقَالَتْ and she said عَجُوزٌ An old woman عَقِيمٌ barren

قَالُوا۟ They said كَذَٰلِكِ Thus قَالَ said رَبُّكِ your Lord ۖ   إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He هُوَ [He] ٱلْحَكِيمُ (is) the All-Wise ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower

قَالَ He said فَمَا Then what خَطْبُكُمْ (is) your mission أَيُّهَا O messengers ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ O messengers

قَالُوٓا۟ They said إِنَّآ Indeed, we أُرْسِلْنَآ [we] have been sent إِلَىٰ to قَوْمٍ a people مُّجْرِمِينَ criminal

لِنُرْسِلَ That we may send down عَلَيْهِمْ upon them حِجَارَةً stones مِّن of طِينٍ clay

مُّسَوَّمَةً Marked عِندَ by your Lord رَبِّكَ by your Lord لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ for the transgressors

فَأَخْرَجْنَا Then We brought out مَن (those) who كَانَ were فِيهَا therein مِنَ of ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers

فَمَا But not وَجَدْنَا We found فِيهَا therein غَيْرَ other than بَيْتٍ a house مِّنَ of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ the Muslims

وَتَرَكْنَا And We left فِيهَآ therein ءَايَةً a Sign لِّلَّذِينَ for those who يَخَافُونَ fear ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment ٱلْأَلِيمَ the painful

وَفِى And in مُوسَىٰٓ Musa إِذْ when أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ We sent him إِلَىٰ to فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ with an authority مُّبِينٍ clear

فَتَوَلَّىٰ But he turned away بِرُكْنِهِۦ with his supporters وَقَالَ and said سَـٰحِرٌ A magician أَوْ or مَجْنُونٌ a madman

فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ So We took him وَجُنُودَهُۥ and his hosts فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ and threw them فِى into ٱلْيَمِّ the sea وَهُوَ while he مُلِيمٌ (was) blameworthy

وَفِى And in عَادٍ Aad إِذْ when أَرْسَلْنَا We sent عَلَيْهِمُ against them ٱلرِّيحَ the wind ٱلْعَقِيمَ the barren

مَا Not تَذَرُ it left مِن any شَىْءٍ thing أَتَتْ it came عَلَيْهِ upon it إِلَّا but جَعَلَتْهُ it made it كَٱلرَّمِيمِ like disintegrated ruins

وَفِى And in ثَمُودَ Thamud إِذْ when قِيلَ was said لَهُمْ to them تَمَتَّعُوا۟ Enjoy (yourselves) حَتَّىٰ for حِينٍ a time

فَعَتَوْا۟ But they rebelled عَنْ against أَمْرِ (the) Command رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ so seized them ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ the thunderbolt وَهُمْ while they يَنظُرُونَ were looking

فَمَا Then not ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ they were able to مِن [of] قِيَامٍ stand وَمَا and not كَانُوا۟ they could مُنتَصِرِينَ help themselves

وَقَوْمَ And (the) people نُوحٍ (of) Nuh مِّن before قَبْلُ before ۖ   إِنَّهُمْ indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were قَوْمًا a people فَـٰسِقِينَ defiantly disobedient

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ And the heaven بَنَيْنَـٰهَا We constructed it بِأَيْي۟دٍ with strength وَإِنَّا and indeed, We لَمُوسِعُونَ (are) surely (its) Expanders

وَٱلْأَرْضَ And the earth فَرَشْنَـٰهَا We have spread it فَنِعْمَ how excellent ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ (are) the Spreaders

وَمِن And of كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing خَلَقْنَا We have created زَوْجَيْنِ pairs لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَذَكَّرُونَ remember

فَفِرُّوٓا۟ So flee إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah ۖ   إِنِّى indeed, I am لَكُم to you مِّنْهُ from Him نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear

وَلَا And (do) not تَجْعَلُوا۟ make مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah إِلَـٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ another ۖ   إِنِّى Indeed, I am لَكُم to you مِّنْهُ from Him نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear

كَذَٰلِكَ Likewise مَآ not أَتَى came ٱلَّذِينَ (to) those مِن before them قَبْلِهِم before them مِّن any رَّسُولٍ Messenger إِلَّا but قَالُوا۟ they said سَاحِرٌ A magician أَوْ or مَجْنُونٌ a madman

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ Have they transmitted it to them بِهِۦ Have they transmitted it to them ۚ   بَلْ Nay هُمْ they قَوْمٌ (are) a people طَاغُونَ transgressing

فَتَوَلَّ So turn away عَنْهُمْ from them فَمَآ for not أَنتَ you بِمَلُومٍ (are) to be blamed

وَذَكِّرْ And remind فَإِنَّ for indeed ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ the reminder تَنفَعُ benefits ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers

وَمَا And not خَلَقْتُ I have created ٱلْجِنَّ the jinn وَٱلْإِنسَ and the mankind إِلَّا except لِيَعْبُدُونِ that they worship Me

مَآ Not أُرِيدُ I want مِنْهُم from them مِّن any رِّزْقٍ provision وَمَآ and not أُرِيدُ I want أَن that يُطْعِمُونِ they (should) feed Me

إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah هُوَ He ٱلرَّزَّاقُ (is) the All-Provider ذُو Possessor ٱلْقُوَّةِ (of) Power ٱلْمَتِينُ the Strong

فَإِنَّ So indeed لِلَّذِينَ for those who ظَلَمُوا۟ do wrong ذَنُوبًا (is) a portion مِّثْلَ like ذَنُوبِ (the) portion أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ (of) their companions فَلَا so let them not ask Me to hasten يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ so let them not ask Me to hasten

فَوَيْلٌ Then woe لِّلَّذِينَ to those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve مِن from يَوْمِهِمُ their Day ٱلَّذِى which يُوعَدُونَ they are promised
