طسٓ Ta Seen ۚ   تِلْكَ These ءَايَـٰتُ (are the) Verses ٱلْقُرْءَانِ (of) the Quran وَكِتَابٍ and a Book مُّبِينٍ clear

هُدًى A guidance وَبُشْرَىٰ and glad tidings لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ for the believers

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُقِيمُونَ establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَيُؤْتُونَ and give ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ zakah وَهُم and they بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter هُمْ [they] يُوقِنُونَ believe with certainty

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter زَيَّنَّا We have made fair-seeming لَهُمْ to them أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ their deeds فَهُمْ so they يَعْمَهُونَ wander blindly

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ Those ٱلَّذِينَ (are) the ones لَهُمْ for them سُوٓءُ (is) an evil ٱلْعَذَابِ [the] punishment وَهُمْ and they فِى in ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ the Hereafter هُمُ [they] ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ (will be) the greatest losers

وَإِنَّكَ And indeed, you لَتُلَقَّى surely, receive ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran مِن from [near] لَّدُنْ from [near] حَكِيمٍ the All-Wise عَلِيمٍ the All-Knower

إِذْ When قَالَ said مُوسَىٰ Musa لِأَهْلِهِۦٓ to his family إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I ءَانَسْتُ perceive نَارًا a fire سَـَٔاتِيكُم I will bring you مِّنْهَا from it بِخَبَرٍ some information أَوْ or ءَاتِيكُم I will bring you بِشِهَابٍ a torch قَبَسٍ burning لَّعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَصْطَلُونَ warm yourselves

فَلَمَّا But when جَآءَهَا he came to it نُودِىَ he was called أَنۢ [that] بُورِكَ Blessed is مَن who فِى (is) at ٱلنَّارِ the fire وَمَنْ and whoever حَوْلَهَا (is) around it وَسُبْحَـٰنَ And glory be ٱللَّهِ (to) Allah رَبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds

يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ O Musa إِنَّهُۥٓ Indeed أَنَا I Am ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise

وَأَلْقِ And, "Throw عَصَاكَ your staff ۚ   فَلَمَّا But when رَءَاهَا he saw it تَهْتَزُّ moving كَأَنَّهَا as if it جَآنٌّ (were) a snake وَلَّىٰ he turned back مُدْبِرًا (in) flight وَلَمْ and (did) not يُعَقِّبْ look back ۚ   يَـٰمُوسَىٰ O Musa لَا (Do) not تَخَفْ fear إِنِّى Indeed, [I] لَا (do) not يَخَافُ fear لَدَىَّ (in) My presence ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ the Messengers

إِلَّا Except مَن who ظَلَمَ wrongs ثُمَّ then بَدَّلَ substitutes حُسْنًۢا good بَعْدَ after سُوٓءٍ evil فَإِنِّى then indeed, I Am غَفُورٌ Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful

وَأَدْخِلْ And enter يَدَكَ your hand فِى into جَيْبِكَ your bosom تَخْرُجْ it will come forth بَيْضَآءَ white مِنْ without غَيْرِ without سُوٓءٍ harm ۖ   فِى (These are) among تِسْعِ nine ءَايَـٰتٍ signs إِلَىٰ to فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ and his people ۚ   إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ are قَوْمًا a people فَـٰسِقِينَ defiantly disobedient

فَلَمَّا But when جَآءَتْهُمْ came to them ءَايَـٰتُنَا Our Signs مُبْصِرَةً visible قَالُوا۟ they said هَـٰذَا This سِحْرٌ (is) a magic مُّبِينٌ manifest

وَجَحَدُوا۟ And they rejected بِهَا them وَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآ though were convinced with them (signs) أَنفُسُهُمْ themselves ظُلْمًا (out of) injustice وَعُلُوًّا and haughtiness ۚ   فَٱنظُرْ So see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ (of) the corrupters

وَلَقَدْ And verily ءَاتَيْنَا We gave دَاوُۥدَ Dawood وَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ and Sulaiman عِلْمًا knowledge ۖ   وَقَالَا and they said ٱلْحَمْدُ Praise be لِلَّهِ to Allah ٱلَّذِى the One Who فَضَّلَنَا has favored us عَلَىٰ over كَثِيرٍ many مِّنْ of عِبَادِهِ His servants ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers

وَوَرِثَ And inherited سُلَيْمَـٰنُ Sulaiman دَاوُۥدَ Dawood ۖ   وَقَالَ And he said يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّاسُ people عُلِّمْنَا We have been taught مَنطِقَ (the) language ٱلطَّيْرِ (of) the birds وَأُوتِينَا and we have been given مِن from كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing ۖ   إِنَّ Indeed هَـٰذَا this لَهُوَ surely, it ٱلْفَضْلُ (is) the favor ٱلْمُبِينُ evident

وَحُشِرَ And were gathered لِسُلَيْمَـٰنَ for Sulaiman جُنُودُهُۥ his hosts مِنَ of ٱلْجِنِّ jinn وَٱلْإِنسِ and the men وَٱلطَّيْرِ and the birds فَهُمْ and they يُوزَعُونَ (were) set in rows

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَآ when أَتَوْا۟ they came عَلَىٰ to وَادِ (the) valley ٱلنَّمْلِ (of) the ants قَالَتْ said نَمْلَةٌ an ant يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّمْلُ ants ٱدْخُلُوا۟ Enter مَسَـٰكِنَكُمْ your dwellings لَا lest not crush you يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ lest not crush you سُلَيْمَـٰنُ Sulaiman وَجُنُودُهُۥ and his hosts وَهُمْ while they لَا (do) not perceive يَشْعُرُونَ (do) not perceive

فَتَبَسَّمَ So he smiled ضَاحِكًا laughing مِّن at قَوْلِهَا her speech وَقَالَ and said رَبِّ My Lord أَوْزِعْنِىٓ Grant me (the) power أَنْ that أَشْكُرَ I may thank You نِعْمَتَكَ (for) Your Favor ٱلَّتِىٓ which أَنْعَمْتَ You have bestowed عَلَىَّ on me وَعَلَىٰ and on وَٰلِدَىَّ my parents وَأَنْ and that أَعْمَلَ I may do صَـٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) تَرْضَىٰهُ that will please You وَأَدْخِلْنِى And admit me بِرَحْمَتِكَ by Your Mercy فِى among عِبَادِكَ Your slaves ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ righteous

وَتَفَقَّدَ And he inspected ٱلطَّيْرَ the birds فَقَالَ and said مَا Why لِىَ Why لَآ not أَرَى I see ٱلْهُدْهُدَ the hoopoe أَمْ or كَانَ is he مِنَ from ٱلْغَآئِبِينَ the absent

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ I will surely punish him عَذَابًا (with) a punishment شَدِيدًا severe أَوْ or لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ I will surely slaughter him أَوْ unless لَيَأْتِيَنِّى he brings me بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ a reason مُّبِينٍ clear

فَمَكَثَ So he stayed غَيْرَ not بَعِيدٍ long فَقَالَ and he said أَحَطتُ I have encompassed بِمَا that which لَمْ not تُحِطْ you have encompassed بِهِۦ it وَجِئْتُكَ and I have come to you مِن from سَبَإٍۭ Saba بِنَبَإٍ with news يَقِينٍ certain

إِنِّى Indeed, I وَجَدتُّ found ٱمْرَأَةً a woman تَمْلِكُهُمْ ruling them وَأُوتِيَتْ and she has been given مِن of كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing وَلَهَا and for her عَرْشٌ (is) a throne عَظِيمٌ great

وَجَدتُّهَا And I found her وَقَوْمَهَا and her people يَسْجُدُونَ prostrating لِلشَّمْسِ to the sun مِن instead of Allah دُونِ instead of Allah ٱللَّهِ instead of Allah وَزَيَّنَ and has made fair-seeming لَهُمُ to them ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ the Shaitaan أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ their deeds فَصَدَّهُمْ and averted them عَنِ from ٱلسَّبِيلِ the Way فَهُمْ so they لَا (are) not يَهْتَدُونَ guided

أَلَّا That not يَسْجُدُوا۟ they prostrate لِلَّهِ to Allah ٱلَّذِى the One Who يُخْرِجُ brings forth ٱلْخَبْءَ the hidden فِى in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَيَعْلَمُ and knows مَا what تُخْفُونَ you conceal وَمَا and what تُعْلِنُونَ you declare

ٱللَّهُ Allah لَآ (there is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا but هُوَ He رَبُّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَرْشِ (of) the Throne ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great ۩  

قَالَ He said سَنَنظُرُ We will see أَصَدَقْتَ whether you speak (the) truth أَمْ or كُنتَ you are مِنَ of ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ the liars

ٱذْهَب Go بِّكِتَـٰبِى with my letter هَـٰذَا this فَأَلْقِهْ and deliver it إِلَيْهِمْ to them ثُمَّ Then تَوَلَّ turn away عَنْهُمْ from them فَٱنظُرْ and see مَاذَا what يَرْجِعُونَ they return

قَالَتْ She said يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ chiefs إِنِّىٓ Indeed [I] أُلْقِىَ is delivered إِلَىَّ to me كِتَـٰبٌ a letter كَرِيمٌ noble

إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it مِن (is) from سُلَيْمَـٰنَ Sulaiman وَإِنَّهُۥ and indeed it (is) بِسْمِ In the name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful

أَلَّا That not تَعْلُوا۟ exalt yourselves عَلَىَّ against me وَأْتُونِى but come to me مُسْلِمِينَ (in) submission

قَالَتْ She said يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ chiefs أَفْتُونِى Advise me فِىٓ in أَمْرِى my affair مَا Not كُنتُ I would be قَاطِعَةً the one to decide أَمْرًا any matter حَتَّىٰ until تَشْهَدُونِ you are present with me

قَالُوا۟ They said نَحْنُ We أُو۟لُوا۟ (are) possessors قُوَّةٍ (of) strength وَأُو۟لُوا۟ and possessors بَأْسٍ (of) might شَدِيدٍ great وَٱلْأَمْرُ and the command إِلَيْكِ (is) up to you فَٱنظُرِى so look مَاذَا what تَأْمُرِينَ you will command

قَالَتْ She said إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْمُلُوكَ the kings إِذَا when دَخَلُوا۟ they enter قَرْيَةً a town أَفْسَدُوهَا they ruin it وَجَعَلُوٓا۟ and make أَعِزَّةَ (the) most honorable أَهْلِهَآ (of) its people أَذِلَّةً (the) lowest ۖ   وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus يَفْعَلُونَ they do

وَإِنِّى But indeed, I am مُرْسِلَةٌ going to send إِلَيْهِم to them بِهَدِيَّةٍ a gift فَنَاظِرَةٌۢ and see بِمَ with what يَرْجِعُ return ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ the messengers

فَلَمَّا So when جَآءَ came سُلَيْمَـٰنَ (to) Sulaiman قَالَ he said أَتُمِدُّونَنِ Will you provide me بِمَالٍ with wealth فَمَآ But what ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ Allah has given me ٱللَّهُ Allah has given me خَيْرٌ (is) better مِّمَّآ than what ءَاتَىٰكُم He has given you بَلْ Nay أَنتُم you بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ in your gift تَفْرَحُونَ rejoice

ٱرْجِعْ Return إِلَيْهِمْ to them فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُم surely, we will come to them بِجُنُودٍ with hosts لَّا not قِبَلَ (is) resistance لَهُم for them بِهَا of it وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُم and surely, we will drive them out مِّنْهَآ from there أَذِلَّةً (in) humiliation وَهُمْ and they صَـٰغِرُونَ (will be) abased

قَالَ He said يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ chiefs أَيُّكُمْ Which of you يَأْتِينِى will bring me بِعَرْشِهَا her throne قَبْلَ before أَن that يَأْتُونِى they come to me مُسْلِمِينَ (in) submission

قَالَ Said عِفْرِيتٌ a strong one مِّنَ of ٱلْجِنِّ the jinn أَنَا۠ I ءَاتِيكَ will bring it to you بِهِۦ will bring it to you قَبْلَ before أَن [that] تَقُومَ you rise مِن from مَّقَامِكَ your place ۖ   وَإِنِّى And indeed, I am عَلَيْهِ for it لَقَوِىٌّ surely, strong أَمِينٌ trustworthy

قَالَ Said ٱلَّذِى one who عِندَهُۥ with him عِلْمٌ (was) knowledge مِّنَ of ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ the Scripture أَنَا۠ I ءَاتِيكَ will bring it to you بِهِۦ will bring it to you قَبْلَ before أَن [that] يَرْتَدَّ returns إِلَيْكَ to you طَرْفُكَ your glance ۚ   فَلَمَّا Then when رَءَاهُ he saw it مُسْتَقِرًّا placed عِندَهُۥ before him قَالَ he said هَـٰذَا This مِن (is) from فَضْلِ (the) Favor رَبِّى (of) my Lord لِيَبْلُوَنِىٓ to test me ءَأَشْكُرُ whether I am grateful أَمْ or أَكْفُرُ I am ungrateful ۖ   وَمَن And whoever شَكَرَ (is) grateful فَإِنَّمَا then only يَشْكُرُ he is grateful لِنَفْسِهِۦ for his own soul ۖ   وَمَن And whoever كَفَرَ (is) ungrateful فَإِنَّ then indeed رَبِّى my Lord غَنِىٌّ (is) Self-sufficient كَرِيمٌ Noble

قَالَ He said نَكِّرُوا۟ Disguise لَهَا for her عَرْشَهَا her throne نَنظُرْ we will see أَتَهْتَدِىٓ whether she will be guided أَمْ or تَكُونُ will be مِنَ of ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا are not guided يَهْتَدُونَ are not guided

فَلَمَّا So when جَآءَتْ she came قِيلَ it was said أَهَـٰكَذَا Is like this عَرْشُكِ your throne ۖ   قَالَتْ She said كَأَنَّهُۥ It is like هُوَ it ۚ   وَأُوتِينَا And we were given ٱلْعِلْمَ the knowledge مِن before her قَبْلِهَا before her وَكُنَّا and we have been مُسْلِمِينَ Muslims

وَصَدَّهَا And has averted her مَا what كَانَت she used (to) تَّعْبُدُ worship مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah ۖ   إِنَّهَا Indeed, she كَانَتْ was مِن from قَوْمٍ a people كَـٰفِرِينَ who disbelieve

قِيلَ It was said لَهَا to her ٱدْخُلِى Enter ٱلصَّرْحَ the palace ۖ   فَلَمَّا Then when رَأَتْهُ she saw it حَسِبَتْهُ she thought it لُجَّةً (was) a pool وَكَشَفَتْ and she uncovered عَن [on] سَاقَيْهَا her shins ۚ   قَالَ He said إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it صَرْحٌ (is) a palace مُّمَرَّدٌ made smooth مِّن of قَوَارِيرَ glass ۗ   قَالَتْ She said رَبِّ My Lord إِنِّى indeed, I ظَلَمْتُ [I] have wronged نَفْسِى myself وَأَسْلَمْتُ and I submit مَعَ with سُلَيْمَـٰنَ Sulaiman لِلَّهِ to Allah رَبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds

وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَآ We sent إِلَىٰ to ثَمُودَ Thamud أَخَاهُمْ their brother صَـٰلِحًا Salih أَنِ that ٱعْبُدُوا۟ Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah فَإِذَا Then behold هُمْ They فَرِيقَانِ (became) two parties يَخْتَصِمُونَ quarreling

قَالَ He said يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people لِمَ Why تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ (do) you seek to hasten بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ the evil قَبْلَ before ٱلْحَسَنَةِ the good ۖ   لَوْلَا Why not تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ you ask forgiveness ٱللَّهَ (of) Allah لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُرْحَمُونَ receive mercy

قَالُوا۟ They said ٱطَّيَّرْنَا We consider you a bad omen بِكَ We consider you a bad omen وَبِمَن and those مَّعَكَ with you ۚ   قَالَ He said طَـٰٓئِرُكُمْ Your bad omen عِندَ (is) with ٱللَّهِ Allah ۖ   بَلْ Nay أَنتُمْ you قَوْمٌ (are) a people تُفْتَنُونَ being tested

وَكَانَ And were فِى in ٱلْمَدِينَةِ the city تِسْعَةُ nine رَهْطٍ family heads يُفْسِدُونَ they were spreading corruption فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the land وَلَا and not يُصْلِحُونَ reforming

قَالُوا۟ They said تَقَاسَمُوا۟ Swear to each other بِٱللَّهِ by Allah لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ surely, we will attack him by night وَأَهْلَهُۥ and his family ثُمَّ Then لَنَقُولَنَّ we will surely say لِوَلِيِّهِۦ to his heir مَا Not شَهِدْنَا we witnessed مَهْلِكَ (the) destruction أَهْلِهِۦ (of) his family وَإِنَّا and indeed, we لَصَـٰدِقُونَ (are) surely truthful

وَمَكَرُوا۟ So they plotted مَكْرًا a plot وَمَكَرْنَا and We planned مَكْرًا a plan وَهُمْ while they لَا (did) not يَشْعُرُونَ perceive

فَٱنظُرْ Then see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end مَكْرِهِمْ (of) their plot أَنَّا that We دَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ destroyed them وَقَوْمَهُمْ and their people أَجْمَعِينَ all

فَتِلْكَ So, these بُيُوتُهُمْ (are) their houses خَاوِيَةًۢ ruined بِمَا because ظَلَمُوٓا۟ they wronged ۗ   إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَةً surely, is a sign لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يَعْلَمُونَ who know

وَأَنجَيْنَا And We saved ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed وَكَانُوا۟ and used (to) يَتَّقُونَ fear (Allah)

وَلُوطًا And Lut إِذْ when قَالَ he said لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ to his people أَتَأْتُونَ Do you commit ٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَ [the] immorality وَأَنتُمْ while you تُبْصِرُونَ see

أَئِنَّكُمْ Why do you لَتَأْتُونَ approach ٱلرِّجَالَ the men شَهْوَةً (with) lust مِّن instead of دُونِ instead of ٱلنِّسَآءِ the women ۚ   بَلْ Nay أَنتُمْ you قَوْمٌ (are) a people تَجْهَلُونَ ignorant

فَمَا But not كَانَ was جَوَابَ (the) answer قَوْمِهِۦٓ (of) his people إِلَّآ except أَن that قَالُوٓا۟ they said أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ Drive out ءَالَ (the) family لُوطٍ (of) Lut مِّن from قَرْيَتِكُمْ your town ۖ   إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they أُنَاسٌ (are) people يَتَطَهَّرُونَ who keep clean and pure

فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ So We saved him وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ and his family إِلَّا except ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ his wife قَدَّرْنَـٰهَا We destined her مِنَ (to be) of ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ those who remained behind

وَأَمْطَرْنَا And We rained عَلَيْهِم upon them مَّطَرًا a rain ۖ   فَسَآءَ and was evil مَطَرُ (the) rain ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ (on) those who were warned

قُلِ Say ٱلْحَمْدُ All praise (be) لِلَّهِ to Allah وَسَلَـٰمٌ and peace (be) عَلَىٰ upon عِبَادِهِ His slaves ٱلَّذِينَ those whom ٱصْطَفَىٰٓ He has chosen ۗ   ءَآللَّهُ Is Allah خَيْرٌ better أَمَّا or what يُشْرِكُونَ they associate (with Him)

أَمَّنْ Or Who خَلَقَ has created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَأَنزَلَ and sent down لَكُم for you مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water فَأَنۢبَتْنَا And We caused to grow بِهِۦ thereby حَدَآئِقَ gardens ذَاتَ of beauty (and delight) بَهْجَةٍ of beauty (and delight) مَّا not كَانَ it is لَكُمْ for you أَن that تُنۢبِتُوا۟ you cause to grow شَجَرَهَآ their trees ۗ   أَءِلَـٰهٌ Is there any god مَّعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ۚ   بَلْ Nay هُمْ they قَوْمٌ (are) a people يَعْدِلُونَ who ascribe equals

أَمَّن Or Who جَعَلَ made ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth قَرَارًا a firm abode وَجَعَلَ and made خِلَـٰلَهَآ (in) its midst أَنْهَـٰرًا rivers وَجَعَلَ and made لَهَا for it رَوَٰسِىَ firm mountains وَجَعَلَ and made بَيْنَ between ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ the two seas حَاجِزًا a barrier ۗ   أَءِلَـٰهٌ Is there any god مَّعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ۚ   بَلْ Nay أَكْثَرُهُمْ most of them لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know

أَمَّن Or Who يُجِيبُ responds ٱلْمُضْطَرَّ (to) the distressed one إِذَا when دَعَاهُ he calls Him وَيَكْشِفُ and He removes ٱلسُّوٓءَ the evil وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ and makes you خُلَفَآءَ inheritors ٱلْأَرْضِ (of) the earth ۗ   أَءِلَـٰهٌ Is there any god مَّعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ۚ   قَلِيلًا Little مَّا (is) what تَذَكَّرُونَ you remember

أَمَّن Or Who يَهْدِيكُمْ guides you فِى in ظُلُمَـٰتِ (the) darkness[es] ٱلْبَرِّ (of) the land وَٱلْبَحْرِ and the sea وَمَن and Who يُرْسِلُ sends ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ the winds بُشْرًۢا (as) glad tidings بَيْنَ before يَدَىْ before رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ His Mercy ۗ   أَءِلَـٰهٌ Is there any god مَّعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ۚ   تَعَـٰلَى High is ٱللَّهُ Allah عَمَّا above what يُشْرِكُونَ they associate (with Him)

أَمَّن Or Who يَبْدَؤُا۟ originates ٱلْخَلْقَ the creation ثُمَّ then يُعِيدُهُۥ repeats it وَمَن and Who يَرْزُقُكُم provides you مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۗ   أَءِلَـٰهٌ Is there any god مَّعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ۚ   قُلْ Say هَاتُوا۟ Bring forth بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْ your proof إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful

قُل Say لَّا No (one) يَعْلَمُ knows مَن whoever فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ٱلْغَيْبَ (of) the unseen إِلَّا except ٱللَّهُ Allah ۚ   وَمَا and not يَشْعُرُونَ they perceive أَيَّانَ when يُبْعَثُونَ they will be resurrected

بَلِ Nay ٱدَّٰرَكَ is arrested عِلْمُهُمْ their knowledge فِى of ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ the Hereafter ۚ   بَلْ Nay هُمْ they فِى (are) in شَكٍّ doubt مِّنْهَا about it ۖ   بَلْ Nay هُم they مِّنْهَا about it عَمُونَ (are) blind

وَقَالَ And say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieve أَءِذَا What, when كُنَّا we have become تُرَٰبًا dust وَءَابَآؤُنَآ and our forefathers أَئِنَّا will we لَمُخْرَجُونَ surely be brought out

لَقَدْ Certainly وُعِدْنَا we have been promised هَـٰذَا this نَحْنُ we وَءَابَآؤُنَا and our forefathers مِن before قَبْلُ before إِنْ Not هَـٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّآ except أَسَـٰطِيرُ tales ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people)

قُلْ Say سِيرُوا۟ Travel فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the land فَٱنظُرُوا۟ and see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ (of) the criminals

وَلَا And (do) not تَحْزَنْ grieve عَلَيْهِمْ over them وَلَا and not تَكُن be فِى in ضَيْقٍ distress مِّمَّا from what يَمْكُرُونَ they plot

وَيَقُولُونَ And they say مَتَىٰ When هَـٰذَا (will) this ٱلْوَعْدُ promise (be fulfilled) إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful

قُلْ Say عَسَىٰٓ Perhaps أَن that يَكُونَ is رَدِفَ close behind لَكُم you بَعْضُ some ٱلَّذِى (of) that which تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ you seek to hasten

وَإِنَّ And indeed رَبَّكَ your Lord لَذُو (is) full of Bounty فَضْلٍ (is) full of Bounty عَلَى for ٱلنَّاسِ the mankind وَلَـٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَهُمْ most of them لَا (are) not يَشْكُرُونَ grateful

وَإِنَّ And indeed رَبَّكَ your Lord لَيَعْلَمُ surely knows مَا what تُكِنُّ conceals صُدُورُهُمْ their breasts وَمَا and what يُعْلِنُونَ they declare

وَمَا And not (is) مِنْ any (thing) غَآئِبَةٍ hidden فِى in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth إِلَّا but فِى (is) in كِتَـٰبٍ a Record مُّبِينٍ clear

إِنَّ Indeed هَـٰذَا this ٱلْقُرْءَانَ [the] Quran يَقُصُّ relates عَلَىٰ to بَنِىٓ (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel أَكْثَرَ most ٱلَّذِى (of) that هُمْ they فِيهِ in it يَخْتَلِفُونَ differ

وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it لَهُدًى (is) surely a guidance وَرَحْمَةٌ and a mercy لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ for the believers

إِنَّ Indeed رَبَّكَ your Lord يَقْضِى will judge بَيْنَهُم between them بِحُكْمِهِۦ by His Judgment ۚ   وَهُوَ and He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower

فَتَوَكَّلْ So put your trust عَلَى in ٱللَّهِ Allah ۖ   إِنَّكَ indeed, you عَلَى (are) on ٱلْحَقِّ the truth ٱلْمُبِينِ manifest

إِنَّكَ Indeed, you لَا (can) not تُسْمِعُ cause to hear ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ the dead وَلَا and not تُسْمِعُ can you cause to hear ٱلصُّمَّ the deaf ٱلدُّعَآءَ the call إِذَا when وَلَّوْا۟ they turn back مُدْبِرِينَ retreating

وَمَآ And not أَنتَ (can) you بِهَـٰدِى guide ٱلْعُمْىِ the blind عَن from ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ their error ۖ   إِن Not تُسْمِعُ you can cause to hear إِلَّا except مَن (those) who يُؤْمِنُ believe بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا in Our Signs فَهُم so they مُّسْلِمُونَ (are) Muslims

وَإِذَا And when وَقَعَ (is) fulfilled ٱلْقَوْلُ the word عَلَيْهِمْ against them أَخْرَجْنَا We will bring forth لَهُمْ for them دَآبَّةً a creature مِّنَ from ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth تُكَلِّمُهُمْ speaking to them أَنَّ that ٱلنَّاسَ the people كَانُوا۟ were بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا of Our Signs لَا not يُوقِنُونَ certain

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day نَحْشُرُ We will gather مِن from كُلِّ every أُمَّةٍ nation فَوْجًا a troop مِّمَّن of (those) who يُكَذِّبُ deny بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا Our Signs فَهُمْ and they يُوزَعُونَ will be set in rows

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَا when جَآءُو they come قَالَ He will say أَكَذَّبْتُم Did you deny بِـَٔايَـٰتِى My Signs وَلَمْ while not تُحِيطُوا۟ you encompassed بِهَا them عِلْمًا (in) knowledge أَمَّاذَا or what كُنتُمْ you used (to) تَعْمَلُونَ do

وَوَقَعَ And (will be) fulfilled ٱلْقَوْلُ the word عَلَيْهِم against them بِمَا because ظَلَمُوا۟ they wronged فَهُمْ and they لَا (will) not يَنطِقُونَ speak

أَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّا that We جَعَلْنَا [We] have made ٱلَّيْلَ the night لِيَسْكُنُوا۟ that they may rest فِيهِ in it وَٱلنَّهَارَ and the day مُبْصِرًا giving visibility ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يُؤْمِنُونَ who believe

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يُنفَخُ will be blown فِى [in] ٱلصُّورِ the trumpet فَفَزِعَ and will be terrified مَن whoever فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَمَن and whoever فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth إِلَّا except مَن whom شَآءَ Allah wills ٱللَّهُ Allah wills ۚ   وَكُلٌّ And all أَتَوْهُ (will) come to Him دَٰخِرِينَ humbled

وَتَرَى And you see ٱلْجِبَالَ the mountains تَحْسَبُهَا thinking them جَامِدَةً firmly fixed وَهِىَ while they تَمُرُّ will pass مَرَّ (as the) passing ٱلسَّحَابِ (of) the clouds ۚ   صُنْعَ (The) Work ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ٱلَّذِىٓ Who أَتْقَنَ perfected كُلَّ all شَىْءٍ things ۚ   إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He خَبِيرٌۢ (is) All-Aware بِمَا of what تَفْعَلُونَ you do

مَن Whoever جَآءَ comes بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ with the good فَلَهُۥ then for him خَيْرٌ (will be) better مِّنْهَا than it وَهُم and they مِّن from فَزَعٍ (the) terror يَوْمَئِذٍ (of) that Day ءَامِنُونَ (will be) safe

وَمَن And whoever جَآءَ comes بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ with the evil فَكُبَّتْ will be cast down وُجُوهُهُمْ their faces فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire هَلْ Are تُجْزَوْنَ you recompensed إِلَّا except مَا (for) what كُنتُمْ you used (to) تَعْمَلُونَ do

إِنَّمَآ Only أُمِرْتُ I am commanded أَنْ that أَعْبُدَ I worship رَبَّ (the) Lord هَـٰذِهِ (of) this ٱلْبَلْدَةِ city ٱلَّذِى the One Who حَرَّمَهَا made it sacred وَلَهُۥ and to Him (belongs) كُلُّ all شَىْءٍ things ۖ   وَأُمِرْتُ And I am commanded أَنْ that أَكُونَ I be مِنَ of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ the Muslims

وَأَنْ And that أَتْلُوَا۟ I recite ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran ۖ   فَمَنِ And whoever ٱهْتَدَىٰ accepts guidance فَإِنَّمَا then only يَهْتَدِى he accepts guidance لِنَفْسِهِۦ for himself ۖ   وَمَن and whoever ضَلَّ goes astray فَقُلْ then say إِنَّمَآ Only أَنَا۠ I am مِنَ of ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ the warners

وَقُلِ And say ٱلْحَمْدُ All praise (be) لِلَّهِ to Allah سَيُرِيكُمْ He will show you ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ His Signs فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا and you will recognize them ۚ   وَمَا And your Lord is not رَبُّكَ And your Lord is not بِغَـٰفِلٍ unaware عَمَّا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do
