تَبَارَكَ Blessed is He ٱلَّذِى Who نَزَّلَ sent down ٱلْفُرْقَانَ the Criterion عَلَىٰ upon عَبْدِهِۦ His slave لِيَكُونَ that he may be لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ to the worlds نَذِيرًا a warner

ٱلَّذِى The One Who لَهُۥ to Him (belongs) مُلْكُ (the) dominion ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَلَمْ and not يَتَّخِذْ He has taken وَلَدًا a son وَلَمْ and not يَكُن He has لَّهُۥ for Him شَرِيكٌ a partner فِى in ٱلْمُلْكِ the dominion وَخَلَقَ and He (has) created كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing فَقَدَّرَهُۥ and determined it تَقْدِيرًا (with) determination

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ Yet they have taken مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦٓ besides Him ءَالِهَةً gods لَّا not يَخْلُقُونَ they create شَيْـًٔا anything وَهُمْ while they يُخْلَقُونَ are created وَلَا and not يَمْلِكُونَ they possess لِأَنفُسِهِمْ for themselves ضَرًّا any harm وَلَا and not نَفْعًا any benefit وَلَا and not يَمْلِكُونَ they control مَوْتًا death وَلَا and not حَيَوٰةً life وَلَا and not نُشُورًا resurrection

وَقَالَ And say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieve إِنْ Not هَـٰذَآ this إِلَّآ (is) but إِفْكٌ a lie ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ he invented it وَأَعَانَهُۥ and helped him عَلَيْهِ at it قَوْمٌ people ءَاخَرُونَ other ۖ   فَقَدْ But verily جَآءُو they (have) produced ظُلْمًا an injustice وَزُورًا and a lie

وَقَالُوٓا۟ And they say أَسَـٰطِيرُ Tales ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former people ٱكْتَتَبَهَا which he has had written فَهِىَ and they تُمْلَىٰ are dictated عَلَيْهِ to him بُكْرَةً morning وَأَصِيلًا and evening

قُلْ Say أَنزَلَهُ Has sent it down ٱلَّذِى the One Who يَعْلَمُ knows ٱلسِّرَّ the secret فِى in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۚ   إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He كَانَ is غَفُورًا Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمًا Most Merciful

وَقَالُوا۟ And they say مَالِ Why does هَـٰذَا this ٱلرَّسُولِ Messenger يَأْكُلُ eat ٱلطَّعَامَ [the] food وَيَمْشِى and walk فِى in ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ the markets ۙ   لَوْلَآ Why not أُنزِلَ is sent down إِلَيْهِ to him مَلَكٌ an Angel فَيَكُونَ then he be مَعَهُۥ with him نَذِيرًا a warner

أَوْ Or يُلْقَىٰٓ is delivered إِلَيْهِ to him كَنزٌ a treasure أَوْ or تَكُونُ is لَهُۥ for him جَنَّةٌ a garden يَأْكُلُ he may eat مِنْهَا from it ۚ   وَقَالَ And say ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers إِن Not تَتَّبِعُونَ you follow إِلَّا but رَجُلًا a man مَّسْحُورًا bewitched

ٱنظُرْ See كَيْفَ how ضَرَبُوا۟ they set forth لَكَ for you ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ the similitudes فَضَلُّوا۟ but they have gone astray فَلَا so not يَسْتَطِيعُونَ they are able (to find) سَبِيلًا a way

تَبَارَكَ Blessed is He ٱلَّذِىٓ Who إِن if شَآءَ He willed جَعَلَ (could have) made لَكَ for you خَيْرًا better مِّن than ذَٰلِكَ that جَنَّـٰتٍ gardens تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ the rivers وَيَجْعَل and He (could) make لَّكَ for you قُصُورًۢا palaces

بَلْ Nay كَذَّبُوا۟ they deny بِٱلسَّاعَةِ the Hour ۖ   وَأَعْتَدْنَا and We have prepared لِمَن for (those) who كَذَّبَ deny بِٱلسَّاعَةِ the Hour سَعِيرًا a Blazing Fire

إِذَا When رَأَتْهُم it sees them مِّن from مَّكَانٍۭ a place بَعِيدٍ far سَمِعُوا۟ they will hear لَهَا its تَغَيُّظًا raging وَزَفِيرًا and roaring

وَإِذَآ And when أُلْقُوا۟ they are thrown مِنْهَا thereof مَكَانًا (in) a place ضَيِّقًا narrow مُّقَرَّنِينَ bound in chains دَعَوْا۟ they will call هُنَالِكَ there ثُبُورًا (for) destruction

لَّا (Do) not تَدْعُوا۟ call ٱلْيَوْمَ this day ثُبُورًا (for) destruction وَٰحِدًا one وَٱدْعُوا۟ but call ثُبُورًا (for) destructions كَثِيرًا many

قُلْ Say أَذَٰلِكَ Is that خَيْرٌ better أَمْ or جَنَّةُ Garden ٱلْخُلْدِ (of) Eternity ٱلَّتِى which وُعِدَ is promised ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ (to) the righteous ۚ   كَانَتْ It will be لَهُمْ for them جَزَآءً a reward وَمَصِيرًا and destination

لَّهُمْ For them فِيهَا therein مَا (is) whatever يَشَآءُونَ they wish خَـٰلِدِينَ they will abide forever ۚ   كَانَ It is عَلَىٰ on رَبِّكَ your Lord وَعْدًا a promise مَّسْـُٔولًا requested

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يَحْشُرُهُمْ He will gather them وَمَا and what يَعْبُدُونَ they worship مِن besides Allah دُونِ besides Allah ٱللَّهِ besides Allah فَيَقُولُ and He will say ءَأَنتُمْ Did you أَضْلَلْتُمْ [you] mislead عِبَادِى My slaves هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ these أَمْ or هُمْ they ضَلُّوا۟ went astray ٱلسَّبِيلَ (from) the way

قَالُوا۟ They say سُبْحَـٰنَكَ Glory be to You مَا Not كَانَ it was proper يَنۢبَغِى it was proper لَنَآ for us أَن that نَّتَّخِذَ we take مِن besides You دُونِكَ besides You مِنْ any أَوْلِيَآءَ protectors وَلَـٰكِن But مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ You gave them comforts وَءَابَآءَهُمْ and their forefathers حَتَّىٰ until نَسُوا۟ they forgot ٱلذِّكْرَ the Message وَكَانُوا۟ and became قَوْمًۢا a people بُورًا ruined

فَقَدْ So verily كَذَّبُوكُم they deny you بِمَا in what تَقُولُونَ you say فَمَا so not تَسْتَطِيعُونَ you are able صَرْفًا (to) avert وَلَا and not نَصْرًا (to) help ۚ   وَمَن And whoever يَظْلِم does wrong مِّنكُمْ among you نُذِقْهُ We will make him taste عَذَابًا a punishment كَبِيرًا great

وَمَآ And not أَرْسَلْنَا We sent قَبْلَكَ before you مِنَ any ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ Messengers إِلَّآ but إِنَّهُمْ indeed, they لَيَأْكُلُونَ [surely] ate ٱلطَّعَامَ food وَيَمْشُونَ and walked فِى in ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ the markets ۗ   وَجَعَلْنَا And We have made بَعْضَكُمْ some of you لِبَعْضٍ for others فِتْنَةً a trial أَتَصْبِرُونَ will you have patience ۗ   وَكَانَ And is رَبُّكَ your Lord بَصِيرًا All-Seer

وَقَالَ And said ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا (do) not يَرْجُونَ expect لِقَآءَنَا (the) meeting with Us لَوْلَآ Why not أُنزِلَ are sent down عَلَيْنَا to us ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels أَوْ or نَرَىٰ we see رَبَّنَا our Lord ۗ   لَقَدِ Indeed ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ they have become arrogant فِىٓ within أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves وَعَتَوْ and (become) insolent عُتُوًّا (with) insolence كَبِيرًا great

يَوْمَ (The) Day يَرَوْنَ they see ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ the Angels لَا no بُشْرَىٰ glad tidings يَوْمَئِذٍ (will be) that Day لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ for the criminals وَيَقُولُونَ and they will say حِجْرًا A partition مَّحْجُورًا forbidden

وَقَدِمْنَآ And We will proceed إِلَىٰ to مَا whatever عَمِلُوا۟ they did مِنْ of عَمَلٍ (the) deed(s) فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ and We will make them هَبَآءً (as) dust مَّنثُورًا dispersed

أَصْحَـٰبُ (The) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ (of) Paradise يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day خَيْرٌ (will be in) a better مُّسْتَقَرًّا abode وَأَحْسَنُ and a better مَقِيلًا resting-place

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day تَشَقَّقُ will split open ٱلسَّمَآءُ the heavens بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِ with the clouds وَنُزِّلَ and (will be) sent down ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels تَنزِيلًا descending

ٱلْمُلْكُ The Sovereignty يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day ٱلْحَقُّ (will be) truly لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ for the Most Gracious ۚ   وَكَانَ And (it will) be يَوْمًا a Day عَلَى for ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers عَسِيرًا difficult

وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يَعَضُّ will bite ٱلظَّالِمُ the wrongdoer عَلَىٰ [on] يَدَيْهِ his hands يَقُولُ he will say يَـٰلَيْتَنِى O I wish ٱتَّخَذْتُ I had taken مَعَ with ٱلرَّسُولِ the Messenger سَبِيلًا a way

يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ O woe to me لَيْتَنِى I wish لَمْ not أَتَّخِذْ I had taken فُلَانًا that one خَلِيلًا (as) a friend

لَّقَدْ Verily أَضَلَّنِى he led me astray عَنِ from ٱلذِّكْرِ the Reminder بَعْدَ after إِذْ [when] جَآءَنِى it (had) come to me ۗ   وَكَانَ And is ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ the Shaitaan لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ to the man خَذُولًا a deserter

وَقَالَ And said ٱلرَّسُولُ the Messenger يَـٰرَبِّ O my Lord إِنَّ Indeed قَوْمِى my people ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ took هَـٰذَا this ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran مَهْجُورًا (as) a forsaken thing

وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus جَعَلْنَا We have made لِكُلِّ for every نَبِىٍّ Prophet عَدُوًّا an enemy مِّنَ among ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals ۗ   وَكَفَىٰ But sufficient is بِرَبِّكَ your Lord هَادِيًا (as) a Guide وَنَصِيرًا and a Helper

وَقَالَ And said ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve لَوْلَا Why not نُزِّلَ was revealed عَلَيْهِ to him ٱلْقُرْءَانُ the Quran جُمْلَةً all at once وَٰحِدَةً all at once ۚ   كَذَٰلِكَ Thus لِنُثَبِّتَ that We may strengthen بِهِۦ thereby فُؤَادَكَ your heart ۖ   وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُ and We have recited it تَرْتِيلًا (with distinct) recitation

وَلَا And not يَأْتُونَكَ they come to you بِمَثَلٍ with an example إِلَّا but جِئْنَـٰكَ We bring you بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَأَحْسَنَ and (the) best تَفْسِيرًا explanation

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُحْشَرُونَ will be gathered عَلَىٰ on وُجُوهِهِمْ their faces إِلَىٰ to جَهَنَّمَ Hell أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ those شَرٌّ (are the) worst مَّكَانًا (in) position وَأَضَلُّ and most astray سَبِيلًا (from the) way

وَلَقَدْ And verily ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Scripture وَجَعَلْنَا and We appointed مَعَهُۥٓ with him أَخَاهُ his brother هَـٰرُونَ Harun وَزِيرًا (as) an assistant

فَقُلْنَا Then We said ٱذْهَبَآ Go both of you إِلَى to ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَذَّبُوا۟ have denied بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا Our Signs فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ Then We destroyed them تَدْمِيرًا (with) destruction

وَقَوْمَ And (the) people نُوحٍ (of) Nuh لَّمَّا when كَذَّبُوا۟ they denied ٱلرُّسُلَ the Messengers أَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ We drowned them وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ and We made them لِلنَّاسِ for mankind ءَايَةً a sign ۖ   وَأَعْتَدْنَا And We have prepared لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ for the wrongdoers عَذَابًا a punishment أَلِيمًا painful

وَعَادًا And Ad وَثَمُودَا۟ and Thamud وَأَصْحَـٰبَ and (the) dwellers ٱلرَّسِّ (of) Ar-rass وَقُرُونًۢا and generations بَيْنَ between ذَٰلِكَ that كَثِيرًا many

وَكُلًّا And each ضَرَبْنَا We have set forth لَهُ for him ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ the examples ۖ   وَكُلًّا and each تَبَّرْنَا We destroyed تَتْبِيرًا (with) destruction

وَلَقَدْ And verily أَتَوْا۟ they have come عَلَى upon ٱلْقَرْيَةِ the town ٱلَّتِىٓ which أُمْطِرَتْ was showered مَطَرَ (with) a rain ٱلسَّوْءِ (of) evil ۚ   أَفَلَمْ Then do not يَكُونُوا۟ they [were] يَرَوْنَهَا see it ۚ   بَلْ Nay كَانُوا۟ they are لَا not يَرْجُونَ expecting نُشُورًا Resurrection

وَإِذَا And when رَأَوْكَ they see you إِن not يَتَّخِذُونَكَ they take you إِلَّا except هُزُوًا (in) mockery أَهَـٰذَا Is this ٱلَّذِى the one whom بَعَثَ Allah has sent ٱللَّهُ Allah has sent رَسُولًا (as) a Messenger

إِن He would have almost كَادَ He would have almost لَيُضِلُّنَا [surely] misled us عَنْ from ءَالِهَتِنَا our gods لَوْلَآ if not أَن that صَبَرْنَا we had been steadfast عَلَيْهَا to them ۚ   وَسَوْفَ And soon يَعْلَمُونَ will know حِينَ when يَرَوْنَ they will see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment مَنْ who أَضَلُّ (is) more astray سَبِيلًا (from the) way

أَرَءَيْتَ Have you seen مَنِ (one) who ٱتَّخَذَ takes إِلَـٰهَهُۥ (as) his god هَوَىٰهُ his own desire أَفَأَنتَ Then would you تَكُونُ be عَلَيْهِ over him وَكِيلًا a guardian

أَمْ Or تَحْسَبُ do you think أَنَّ that أَكْثَرَهُمْ most of them يَسْمَعُونَ hear أَوْ or يَعْقِلُونَ understand ۚ   إِنْ Not هُمْ they إِلَّا (are) except كَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ like cattle ۖ   بَلْ Nay هُمْ they أَضَلُّ (are) more astray سَبِيلًا (from the) way

أَلَمْ Do you not تَرَ see إِلَىٰ [to] رَبِّكَ your Lord كَيْفَ how مَدَّ He extends ٱلظِّلَّ the shadow وَلَوْ And if شَآءَ He willed لَجَعَلَهُۥ surely He (could) have made it سَاكِنًا stationary ثُمَّ Then جَعَلْنَا We made ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun عَلَيْهِ for it دَلِيلًا an indication

ثُمَّ Then قَبَضْنَـٰهُ We withdraw it إِلَيْنَا to Us قَبْضًا a withdrawal يَسِيرًا gradual

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلَّيْلَ the night لِبَاسًا (as) a covering وَٱلنَّوْمَ and the sleep سُبَاتًا a rest وَجَعَلَ and made ٱلنَّهَارَ the day نُشُورًا a resurrection

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَرْسَلَ sends ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ the winds بُشْرًۢا (as) glad tidings بَيْنَ before يَدَىْ before رَحْمَتِهِۦ His Mercy ۚ   وَأَنزَلْنَا and We send down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water طَهُورًا pure

لِّنُحْـِۧىَ That We may give life بِهِۦ thereby بَلْدَةً (to) a land مَّيْتًا dead وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ and We give drink مِمَّا thereof خَلَقْنَآ (to those) We created أَنْعَـٰمًا cattle وَأَنَاسِىَّ and men كَثِيرًا many

وَلَقَدْ And verily صَرَّفْنَـٰهُ We have distributed it بَيْنَهُمْ among them لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ that they may remember فَأَبَىٰٓ but refuse أَكْثَرُ most ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people إِلَّا except كُفُورًا disbelief

وَلَوْ And if شِئْنَا We willed لَبَعَثْنَا surely, We (would) have raised فِى in كُلِّ every قَرْيَةٍ town نَّذِيرًا a warner

فَلَا So (do) not تُطِعِ obey ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers وَجَـٰهِدْهُم and strive (against) them بِهِۦ with it جِهَادًا a striving كَبِيرًا great

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who مَرَجَ (has) released ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ the two seas هَـٰذَا [this] (one) عَذْبٌ palatable فُرَاتٌ and sweet وَهَـٰذَا and [this] (one) مِلْحٌ salty أُجَاجٌ (and) bitter وَجَعَلَ and He has made بَيْنَهُمَا between them بَرْزَخًا a barrier وَحِجْرًا and a partition مَّحْجُورًا forbidden

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَ has created مِنَ from ٱلْمَآءِ the water بَشَرًا human being فَجَعَلَهُۥ and has made (for) him نَسَبًا blood relationship وَصِهْرًا and marriage relationship ۗ   وَكَانَ And is رَبُّكَ your Lord قَدِيرًا All-Powerful

وَيَعْبُدُونَ But they worship مِن besides Allah دُونِ besides Allah ٱللَّهِ besides Allah مَا what لَا not profits them يَنفَعُهُمْ not profits them وَلَا and not يَضُرُّهُمْ harms them ۗ   وَكَانَ and is ٱلْكَافِرُ the disbeliever عَلَىٰ against رَبِّهِۦ his Lord ظَهِيرًا a helper

وَمَآ And not أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ We sent you إِلَّا except مُبَشِّرًا (as) a bearer of glad tidings وَنَذِيرًا and a warner

قُلْ Say مَآ Not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask (of) you عَلَيْهِ for it مِنْ any أَجْرٍ payment إِلَّا except مَن (that) whoever wills شَآءَ (that) whoever wills أَن to يَتَّخِذَ take إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِۦ his Lord سَبِيلًا a way

وَتَوَكَّلْ And put your trust عَلَى in ٱلْحَىِّ the Ever-Living ٱلَّذِى the One Who لَا does not die يَمُوتُ does not die وَسَبِّحْ and glorify بِحَمْدِهِۦ with His Praise ۚ   وَكَفَىٰ And sufficient is بِهِۦ He بِذُنُوبِ regarding the sins عِبَادِهِۦ (of) His slaves خَبِيرًا All-Aware

ٱلَّذِى The One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between them فِى in سِتَّةِ six أَيَّامٍ periods ثُمَّ then ٱسْتَوَىٰ He established Himself عَلَى over ٱلْعَرْشِ the Throne ۚ   ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ the Most Gracious فَسْـَٔلْ so ask بِهِۦ Him خَبِيرًا (as He is) All-Aware

وَإِذَا And when قِيلَ it is said لَهُمُ to them ٱسْجُدُوا۟ Prostrate لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ to the Most Gracious قَالُوا۟ They say وَمَا And what ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ (is) the Most Gracious أَنَسْجُدُ Should we prostrate لِمَا to what تَأْمُرُنَا you order us وَزَادَهُمْ And it increases them نُفُورًا (in) aversion ۩  

تَبَارَكَ Blessed is He ٱلَّذِى Who جَعَلَ has placed فِى in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the skies بُرُوجًا constellations وَجَعَلَ and has placed فِيهَا therein سِرَٰجًا a lamp وَقَمَرًا and a moon مُّنِيرًا shining

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made ٱلَّيْلَ the night وَٱلنَّهَارَ and the day خِلْفَةً (in) succession لِّمَنْ for whoever أَرَادَ desires أَن to يَذَّكَّرَ remember أَوْ or أَرَادَ desires شُكُورًا to be thankful

وَعِبَادُ And (the) slaves ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those who يَمْشُونَ walk عَلَى on ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth هَوْنًا (in) humbleness وَإِذَا and when خَاطَبَهُمُ address them ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ the ignorant ones قَالُوا۟ they say سَلَـٰمًا Peace

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَبِيتُونَ spend (the) night لِرَبِّهِمْ before their Lord سُجَّدًا prostrating وَقِيَـٰمًا and standing

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَقُولُونَ say رَبَّنَا Our Lord ٱصْرِفْ Avert عَنَّا from us عَذَابَ the punishment جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell ۖ   إِنَّ Indeed عَذَابَهَا its punishment كَانَ is غَرَامًا inseparable

إِنَّهَا Indeed, it سَآءَتْ (is) an evil مُسْتَقَرًّا abode وَمُقَامًا and resting place

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who إِذَآ when أَنفَقُوا۟ they spend لَمْ (are) not extravagant يُسْرِفُوا۟ (are) not extravagant وَلَمْ and are not stingy يَقْتُرُوا۟ and are not stingy وَكَانَ but are بَيْنَ between ذَٰلِكَ that قَوَامًا moderate

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who لَا (do) not يَدْعُونَ invoke مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah إِلَـٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ another وَلَا and (do) not يَقْتُلُونَ [they] kill ٱلنَّفْسَ the soul ٱلَّتِى which حَرَّمَ Allah has forbidden ٱللَّهُ Allah has forbidden إِلَّا except بِٱلْحَقِّ by right وَلَا and (do) not يَزْنُونَ commit unlawful sexual intercourse ۚ   وَمَن And whoever يَفْعَلْ does ذَٰلِكَ that يَلْقَ will meet أَثَامًا a penalty

يُضَـٰعَفْ Will be doubled لَهُ for him ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) Resurrection وَيَخْلُدْ and he will abide forever فِيهِۦ therein مُهَانًا humiliated

إِلَّا Except مَن (he) who تَابَ repents وَءَامَنَ and believes وَعَمِلَ and does عَمَلًا righteous deeds صَـٰلِحًا righteous deeds فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then (for) those يُبَدِّلُ Allah will replace ٱللَّهُ Allah will replace سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ their evil deeds حَسَنَـٰتٍ (with) good ones ۗ   وَكَانَ And is ٱللَّهُ Allah غَفُورًا Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمًا Most Merciful

وَمَن And whoever تَابَ repents وَعَمِلَ and does صَـٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) فَإِنَّهُۥ then indeed, he يَتُوبُ turns إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah مَتَابًا (with) repentance

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who لَا (do) not يَشْهَدُونَ bear witness ٱلزُّورَ (to) the falsehood وَإِذَا and when مَرُّوا۟ they pass بِٱللَّغْوِ by futility مَرُّوا۟ they pass كِرَامًا (as) dignified ones

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who إِذَا when ذُكِّرُوا۟ they are reminded بِـَٔايَـٰتِ of (the) Verses رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord لَمْ (do) not يَخِرُّوا۟ fall عَلَيْهَا upon them صُمًّا deaf وَعُمْيَانًا and blind

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَقُولُونَ say رَبَّنَا Our Lord هَبْ Grant لَنَا to us مِنْ from أَزْوَٰجِنَا our spouses وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا and our offspring قُرَّةَ comfort أَعْيُنٍ (to) our eyes وَٱجْعَلْنَا and make us لِلْمُتَّقِينَ for the righteous إِمَامًا a leader

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ Those يُجْزَوْنَ will be awarded ٱلْغُرْفَةَ the Chamber بِمَا because صَبَرُوا۟ they were patient وَيُلَقَّوْنَ and they will be met فِيهَا therein تَحِيَّةً (with) greetings وَسَلَـٰمًا and peace

خَـٰلِدِينَ Will abide forever فِيهَا in it ۚ   حَسُنَتْ Good مُسْتَقَرًّا (is) the settlement وَمُقَامًا and a resting place

قُلْ Say مَا Not يَعْبَؤُا۟ will care بِكُمْ for you رَبِّى my Lord لَوْلَا if not دُعَآؤُكُمْ your prayer (is to Him) ۖ   فَقَدْ But verily كَذَّبْتُمْ you have denied فَسَوْفَ so soon يَكُونُ will be لِزَامًۢا the inevitable (punishment)
