سَبَّحَ Glorifies لِلَّهِ [to] Allah مَا whatever فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۖ   وَهُوَ and He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise

لَهُۥ For Him مُلْكُ (is the) dominion ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۖ   يُحْىِۦ He gives life وَيُمِيتُ and causes death ۖ   وَهُوَ and He عَلَىٰ (is) over كُلِّ all شَىْءٍ things قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful

هُوَ He ٱلْأَوَّلُ (is) the First وَٱلْـَٔاخِرُ and the Last وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ and the Apparent وَٱلْبَاطِنُ and the Unapparent ۖ   وَهُوَ and He بِكُلِّ (is) of every شَىْءٍ thing عَلِيمٌ All-Knower

هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth فِى in سِتَّةِ six أَيَّامٍ periods ثُمَّ then ٱسْتَوَىٰ He rose عَلَى over ٱلْعَرْشِ the Throne ۚ   يَعْلَمُ He knows مَا what يَلِجُ penetrates فِى in(to) ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَمَا and what يَخْرُجُ comes forth مِنْهَا from it وَمَا and what يَنزِلُ descends مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven وَمَا and what يَعْرُجُ ascends فِيهَا therein ۖ   وَهُوَ and He مَعَكُمْ (is) with you أَيْنَ wherever مَا wherever كُنتُمْ you are ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do بَصِيرٌ (is) All-seer

لَّهُۥ For Him مُلْكُ (is the) dominion ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۚ   وَإِلَى and to ٱللَّهِ Allah تُرْجَعُ will be returned ٱلْأُمُورُ the matters

يُولِجُ He merges ٱلَّيْلَ the night فِى into ٱلنَّهَارِ the day وَيُولِجُ and He merges ٱلنَّهَارَ the day فِى into ٱلَّيْلِ the night ۚ   وَهُوَ and He عَلِيمٌۢ (is) All-Knower بِذَاتِ of what is in the breasts ٱلصُّدُورِ of what is in the breasts

ءَامِنُوا۟ Believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَرَسُولِهِۦ and His Messenger وَأَنفِقُوا۟ and spend مِمَّا of what جَعَلَكُم He has made you مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ trustees فِيهِ therein ۖ   فَٱلَّذِينَ And those ءَامَنُوا۟ who believe مِنكُمْ among you وَأَنفَقُوا۟ and spend لَهُمْ for them أَجْرٌ (is) a reward كَبِيرٌ great

وَمَا And what لَكُمْ (is) for you لَا (that) not تُؤْمِنُونَ you believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah ۙ   وَٱلرَّسُولُ while the Messenger يَدْعُوكُمْ calls you لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟ that you believe بِرَبِّكُمْ in your Lord وَقَدْ and indeed أَخَذَ He has taken مِيثَـٰقَكُمْ your covenant إِن if كُنتُم you are مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers

هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يُنَزِّلُ sends down عَلَىٰ upon عَبْدِهِۦٓ His slave ءَايَـٰتٍۭ Verses بَيِّنَـٰتٍ clear لِّيُخْرِجَكُم that He may bring you out مِّنَ from ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ the darkness[es] إِلَى into ٱلنُّورِ the light ۚ   وَإِنَّ And indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah بِكُمْ to you لَرَءُوفٌ (is the) Most Kind رَّحِيمٌ (the) Most Merciful

وَمَا And what لَكُمْ (is) for you أَلَّا that not تُنفِقُوا۟ you spend فِى in سَبِيلِ (the) way ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَلِلَّهِ while for Allah مِيرَٰثُ (is the) heritage ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth ۚ   لَا Not يَسْتَوِى are equal مِنكُم among you مَّنْ (those) who أَنفَقَ spent مِن before قَبْلِ before ٱلْفَتْحِ the victory وَقَـٰتَلَ and fought ۚ   أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ Those أَعْظَمُ (are) greater دَرَجَةً (in) degree مِّنَ than ٱلَّذِينَ those who أَنفَقُوا۟ spent مِنۢ afterwards بَعْدُ afterwards وَقَـٰتَلُوا۟ and fought ۚ   وَكُلًّا But to all وَعَدَ Allah has promised ٱللَّهُ Allah has promised ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ the best ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do خَبِيرٌ (is) All-Aware

مَّن Who (is) ذَا the one who ٱلَّذِى the one who يُقْرِضُ will loan ٱللَّهَ (to) Allah قَرْضًا a loan حَسَنًا goodly فَيُضَـٰعِفَهُۥ so He will multiply it لَهُۥ for him وَلَهُۥٓ and for him أَجْرٌ (is) a reward كَرِيمٌ noble

يَوْمَ (On the) Day تَرَى you will see ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believing men وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ and the believing women يَسْعَىٰ running نُورُهُم their light بَيْنَ before them أَيْدِيهِمْ before them وَبِأَيْمَـٰنِهِم and on their right بُشْرَىٰكُمُ Glad tidings for you ٱلْيَوْمَ this Day جَنَّـٰتٌ gardens تَجْرِى flowing مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ the rivers خَـٰلِدِينَ abiding forever فِيهَا therein ۚ   ذَٰلِكَ That هُوَ [it] (is) ٱلْفَوْزُ the success ٱلْعَظِيمُ the great

يَوْمَ (On the) Day يَقُولُ will say ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَ the hypocrite men وَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتُ and the hypocrite women لِلَّذِينَ to those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed ٱنظُرُونَا Wait for us نَقْتَبِسْ we may acquire مِن of نُّورِكُمْ your light قِيلَ It will be said ٱرْجِعُوا۟ Go back وَرَآءَكُمْ behind you فَٱلْتَمِسُوا۟ and seek نُورًا light فَضُرِبَ Then will be put up بَيْنَهُم between them بِسُورٍ a wall لَّهُۥ for it بَابٌۢ a gate بَاطِنُهُۥ its interior فِيهِ in it ٱلرَّحْمَةُ (is) mercy وَظَـٰهِرُهُۥ but its exterior مِن facing towards [it] قِبَلِهِ facing towards [it] ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment

يُنَادُونَهُمْ They will call them أَلَمْ Were not نَكُن we مَّعَكُمْ with you ۖ   قَالُوا۟ They will say بَلَىٰ Yes وَلَـٰكِنَّكُمْ but you فَتَنتُمْ led to temptation أَنفُسَكُمْ yourselves وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ and you awaited وَٱرْتَبْتُمْ and you doubted وَغَرَّتْكُمُ and deceived you ٱلْأَمَانِىُّ the wishful thinking حَتَّىٰ until جَآءَ came أَمْرُ (the) Command ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَغَرَّكُم And deceived you بِٱللَّهِ about Allah ٱلْغَرُورُ the deceiver

فَٱلْيَوْمَ So today لَا not يُؤْخَذُ will be accepted مِنكُمْ from you فِدْيَةٌ any ransom وَلَا and not مِنَ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved ۚ   مَأْوَىٰكُمُ Your abode ٱلنَّارُ (is) the Fire ۖ   هِىَ it (is) مَوْلَىٰكُمْ your protector ۖ   وَبِئْسَ and wretched is ٱلْمَصِيرُ the destination

أَلَمْ Has not يَأْنِ come (the) time لِلَّذِينَ for those who ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believed أَن that تَخْشَعَ become humble قُلُوبُهُمْ their hearts لِذِكْرِ at (the) remembrance (of) Allah ٱللَّهِ at (the) remembrance (of) Allah وَمَا and what نَزَلَ has come down مِنَ of ٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَلَا And not يَكُونُوا۟ they become كَٱلَّذِينَ like those who أُوتُوا۟ were given ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Book مِن before قَبْلُ before فَطَالَ (and) was prolonged عَلَيْهِمُ for them ٱلْأَمَدُ the term فَقَسَتْ so hardened قُلُوبُهُمْ their hearts ۖ   وَكَثِيرٌ and many مِّنْهُمْ of them فَـٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobedient

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ Know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah يُحْىِ gives life ٱلْأَرْضَ (to) the earth بَعْدَ after مَوْتِهَا its death ۚ   قَدْ Indeed بَيَّنَّا We have made clear لَكُمُ to you ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ the Signs لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَعْقِلُونَ understand

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْمُصَّدِّقِينَ the men who give charity وَٱلْمُصَّدِّقَـٰتِ and the women who give charity وَأَقْرَضُوا۟ and who lend ٱللَّهَ (to) Allah قَرْضًا a loan حَسَنًا goodly يُضَـٰعَفُ it will be multiplied لَهُمْ for them وَلَهُمْ and for them أَجْرٌ (is) a reward كَرِيمٌ noble

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَرُسُلِهِۦٓ and His Messengers أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ [those] هُمُ they ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ (are) the truthful ۖ   وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ and the martyrs عِندَ (are) with رَبِّهِمْ their Lord لَهُمْ For them أَجْرُهُمْ (is) their reward وَنُورُهُمْ and their light ۖ   وَٱلَّذِينَ But those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and deny بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ Our Verses أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ those أَصْحَـٰبُ (are the) companions ٱلْجَحِيمِ (of) the Hellfire

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ Know أَنَّمَا that ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world لَعِبٌ (is) play وَلَهْوٌ and amusement وَزِينَةٌ and adornment وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ and boasting بَيْنَكُمْ among you وَتَكَاثُرٌ and competition in increase فِى of ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ the wealth وَٱلْأَوْلَـٰدِ and the children ۖ   كَمَثَلِ like (the) example غَيْثٍ (of) a rain أَعْجَبَ pleases ٱلْكُفَّارَ the tillers نَبَاتُهُۥ its growth ثُمَّ then يَهِيجُ it dries فَتَرَىٰهُ and you see it مُصْفَرًّا turning yellow ثُمَّ then يَكُونُ becomes حُطَـٰمًا debris ۖ   وَفِى And in ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ the Hereafter عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment شَدِيدٌ severe وَمَغْفِرَةٌ and forgiveness مِّنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah وَرِضْوَٰنٌ and Pleasure ۚ   وَمَا But not ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ (is) the life ٱلدُّنْيَآ (of) the world إِلَّا except مَتَـٰعُ (the) enjoyment ٱلْغُرُورِ (of) delusion

سَابِقُوٓا۟ Race إِلَىٰ to مَغْفِرَةٍ (the) forgiveness مِّن from رَّبِّكُمْ your Lord وَجَنَّةٍ and a Garden عَرْضُهَا its width كَعَرْضِ (is) like (the) width ٱلسَّمَآءِ (of) the heaven وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth أُعِدَّتْ prepared لِلَّذِينَ for those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَرُسُلِهِۦ and His Messengers ۚ   ذَٰلِكَ That فَضْلُ (is the) Bounty ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يُؤْتِيهِ He gives مَن (to) whom يَشَآءُ He wills ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah ذُو (is) the Possessor of Bounty ٱلْفَضْلِ (is) the Possessor of Bounty ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great

مَآ Not أَصَابَ strikes مِن any مُّصِيبَةٍ disaster فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَلَا and not فِىٓ in أَنفُسِكُمْ yourselves إِلَّا but فِى in كِتَـٰبٍ a Register مِّن before قَبْلِ before أَن that نَّبْرَأَهَآ We bring it into existence ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed ذَٰلِكَ that عَلَى for ٱللَّهِ Allah يَسِيرٌ (is) easy

لِّكَيْلَا So that you may not تَأْسَوْا۟ grieve عَلَىٰ over مَا what فَاتَكُمْ has escaped you وَلَا and (do) not تَفْرَحُوا۟ exult بِمَآ at what ءَاتَىٰكُمْ He has given you ۗ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah لَا (does) not يُحِبُّ love كُلَّ every مُخْتَالٍ self-deluded فَخُورٍ boaster

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يَبْخَلُونَ are stingy وَيَأْمُرُونَ and enjoin ٱلنَّاسَ (on) the people بِٱلْبُخْلِ stinginess ۗ   وَمَن And whoever يَتَوَلَّ turns away فَإِنَّ then indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah هُوَ He ٱلْغَنِىُّ (is) Free of need ٱلْحَمِيدُ the Praiseworthy

لَقَدْ Certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We sent رُسُلَنَا Our Messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear proofs وَأَنزَلْنَا and We sent down مَعَهُمُ with them ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Scripture وَٱلْمِيزَانَ and the Balance لِيَقُومَ that may establish ٱلنَّاسُ the people بِٱلْقِسْطِ justice ۖ   وَأَنزَلْنَا And We sent down ٱلْحَدِيدَ [the] iron فِيهِ wherein بَأْسٌ (is) power شَدِيدٌ mighty وَمَنَـٰفِعُ and benefits لِلنَّاسِ for the people وَلِيَعْلَمَ and so that Allah may make evident ٱللَّهُ and so that Allah may make evident مَن (he) who يَنصُرُهُۥ helps Him وَرُسُلَهُۥ and His Messengers بِٱلْغَيْبِ unseen ۚ   إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah قَوِىٌّ (is) All-Strong عَزِيزٌ All-Mighty

وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We sent نُوحًا Nuh وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ and Ibrahim وَجَعَلْنَا and We placed فِى in ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا their offspring ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ Prophethood وَٱلْكِتَـٰبَ and the Scripture ۖ   فَمِنْهُم and among them مُّهْتَدٍ (is) a guided one ۖ   وَكَثِيرٌ but most مِّنْهُمْ of them فَـٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobediently

ثُمَّ Then قَفَّيْنَا We sent عَلَىٰٓ on ءَاثَـٰرِهِم their footsteps بِرُسُلِنَا Our Messengers وَقَفَّيْنَا and We followed بِعِيسَى with Isa ٱبْنِ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ and We gave him ٱلْإِنجِيلَ the Injeel وَجَعَلْنَا And We placed فِى in قُلُوبِ (the) hearts ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who ٱتَّبَعُوهُ followed him رَأْفَةً compassion وَرَحْمَةً and mercy وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً But monasticism ٱبْتَدَعُوهَا they innovated مَا not كَتَبْنَـٰهَا We prescribed it عَلَيْهِمْ for them إِلَّا only ٱبْتِغَآءَ seeking رِضْوَٰنِ (the) pleasure ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah فَمَا but not رَعَوْهَا they observed it حَقَّ (with) right رِعَايَتِهَا observance ۖ   فَـَٔاتَيْنَا So We gave ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed مِنْهُمْ among them أَجْرَهُمْ their reward ۖ   وَكَثِيرٌ but most مِّنْهُمْ of them فَـٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobediently

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe ٱتَّقُوا۟ Fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَءَامِنُوا۟ and believe بِرَسُولِهِۦ in His Messenger يُؤْتِكُمْ He will give you كِفْلَيْنِ double portion مِن of رَّحْمَتِهِۦ His Mercy وَيَجْعَل and He will make لَّكُمْ for you نُورًا a light تَمْشُونَ you will walk بِهِۦ with it وَيَغْفِرْ and He will forgive لَكُمْ you ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful

لِّئَلَّا So that يَعْلَمَ may know أَهْلُ (the) People ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book أَلَّا that not يَقْدِرُونَ they have power عَلَىٰ over شَىْءٍ anything مِّن from فَضْلِ (the) Bounty ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ۙ   وَأَنَّ and that ٱلْفَضْلَ the Bounty بِيَدِ (is) in Allah's Hand ٱللَّهِ (is) in Allah's Hand يُؤْتِيهِ He gives it مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills ۚ   وَٱللَّهُ And Allah ذُو (is) the Possessor of Bounty ٱلْفَضْلِ (is) the Possessor of Bounty ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great
